On live KOLD Coach: Has always remained consistant about what he has said. He says the docs mistates what he said to the detective. A couple thing he didn't say the way it was written up. His son & Isa played on the same team. He didn't know Sergio that well. Met him 7 to 8 times. Had been asked if Isa had run away & he felt that was odd & the report did not state it correctly. The interview was not recorded, the officer did not write anything down during interview. He calls it a "misunderstanding".

Thanks, Dr. Know. I hope he has straightened this out with LE.

Isa didn't seem afraid of either brother to me because she was known to go to sleep in their room.JMOO

Only Nancy Grace stated Isa slept with her brothers. When asked about where this information came from, Natisha Lance stated: "there is a report out there." However, there is no report out there to read. :(

There, now we have it officially that JM was not the "uncle" there in the morning knocking on doors. He came after 12 that day.

NO...because these appear to be scanned documents, not say Word converted to .pdf....

search function does not work on these docs....

:noooo:

I guess I will try on the lab desktop tomorrow to make sure, but I think if you open this in some adobe program, you could save it as txt and then use the search function. Actually the program I have at work, and sorry I can't remember offhand what it is, allows me to use crl+f just fine...I'm sure, because I've been scanning in a ton of papers that I highlighted and took notes on lately because my office is being reallocated and I don't want my apt filled with them. They are scanned to PDF files and I know that I used the crl+f thing just today.

I would like to download the PDFs on my iPad (I have a PDF app). Has anyone else done this?

I have not-I have an iTouch and can probably open it w/adobe reader.

JM's niece (I think) said he was unemployed and had lived with the Celis until fairly recent having moved from Florida 6 months ago

She's the one with the fiance thought to be on drugs, and toting a gun?
Did she not also state she had not seen the family in a year or two :waitasec:

That report was confusing to me..

I thought that was weird, but that they DID redact Isabel's name. I am sure they have legal reasons for doing so, it just struck me as odd given that it is such a high profile case. :)

Not to sleuth a minor...but I believe this is also the brother who fell down and cried a couple of times as he walked the neighborhood looking for his little sister :(

Perhaps RC told the LEO that her son had "issues " without getting specific ? Yes, I know it is 6 letters...

Are you on a mobile device, by any chance? I'm on the iPad and I can't pull them up, either. I've never had problems opening a PDF in my reader before, though.

I believe on my scanner I can set it to save as a searchable pdf file. Here is something I just found on the web:

If you already have a scanned PDF that you received from someone, and you want to make it searchable, you can do so by going to Document >> OCR Text Recognition >> Recognize Text using OCR.

Choose the pages that you want to OCR, click on edit to choose Primary OCR Language, and PDF Output Style, and then click OK and OK again to initiate the OCR process for currently open Scanned PDF.

Holy cow, a whole new thread of 14 pages! I should know better than to go and try to have a life during a case! Off to read. :read:

Has anyone fallen off their fence after reading these reports? I am more confused about some things now, though some questions have been answered.

Nope. Only the blood concerns me from these limited reports/docs. Even then, only in a minor way.

But I have seen lots of names I know in the docs. And a phone number for Uncle Cousin JM (why wouldn't they redact that?!?). LOL

He could have been and gone back later. Someone knocked on the neighbor's door at 8:15 a.m. and said he was Isabel's "uncle."

Isa's uncle RR was there. She also has uncle LR, and other real uncles.
LE later told the neighbor that it was an uncle knocking on her door. The uncle did not identify himself to the neighbor.

The police report has JM arriving after noon, which corresponds with fact that he was not interviewed by media until later in day.

I am on my desk computer..

I have not been able to open the links to any of the "official docs'... only the articles.

I am going to try on my iPad to see if I can pull it up.

Good luck to you, PlainJane Doe! I hope you can get it.
