Jane Velez-Mitchell will cover the disappearance of Isabel Celis on her HLN show, Issues, at 7:00 Eastern.
After watching the press conference and reading the posts, I had to take a step-back a little and listen without my heart ONLY because of the Susan Smith case.
Now, this is not to say I feel the parents are involved in anyway, but it also means I haven't ruled them out along with every single friend or relative of the family.
Right now for me, someone knows this family, knows their routine, knows the inside of their home, knows their dogs etc., etc.
I also thought perhaps Isabel just plain walked out of the house on her own, however, with the hits on some sort of scent, that didn't make sense.
So for me right now, everyone is a suspect to me that is close to this family and just don't feel YET that this is a abduction by a stranger.
I sure hope we learn more - SOON!
Our local YMCA used people required to do "community service" as coaches for little kid teams.
I agree with everything you said. Also, dad was the one who went to check on her and she was gone. Mom was already at work so he must feel some sort of guilt for not being there to protect his baby girl even though this probably happened late night or very early morning. I think he must feel he's responsible. The "shoulda, coulda, woulda" must make one crazy. I know it would me.![]()
It's interesting that they mentioned demands, particularly because that's not a statement you here often in these sorts of situations. It's also interesting that they met with the BAU this afternoon before deciding to make the statement - I'm wondering if the demands statement was suggested by BAU.
