In the Lauren Giddings case, LE & the FBI fingerprinted what seemed like every surface in her apartment. There was black dust everywhere. I'm sure the Celis home was dusted for prints in the same way.

Isabel was taken out of the house some way, whether or not via the window. Either away in a car, or carried off on foot, the only two options. JMO

Yeah, I really don't think this means anything. If you were trying to clean up evidence, would you really have a professional crew come out in broad daylight after LE had already been there? It's most likely to clean up from the search, since looking for forensic evidence can leave a mess.

Knowing Nancy, this may just be the family's weekly Merry Maids visit and she's trying to make it out to be a "bombshell."

I too am disheartened. There are things called rape kits which are used, try sitting next to a child and parent when one of those is being performed. A child would also show signs easily of penetration.

Have we all turned so cynical just because we are not hearing every single word we need to hear from law enforcement? These kids are minors, let the locals know what has happened, let them take actions to make their children and themselves safe - it's THEIR backyard not yours or mine.

Are we still living in the world I lived in where children were seen and not heard and often not believed if they did talk? Do you ever wonder why so many adults come out and admit that they were violated 20 or 30 years after it happened? It is because they knew if they spoke then it would be dismissed , they were all kids with over active imaginations. I kind of thought that had gone out - my children learned 5 fingers, 5 friends in Kindergarten - each finger had a name of someone they trusted and could talk to, and if they couldn't tell mummy or daddy they could tell the next person. Sounds like a sad world huh? But I don't believe it is, my children, now adult have always told me everything and still do.

Now for those that will always believe that these girls made it up after hearing about Isabel - IF they did it is STILL an alarm. Three little girls sat down and made this story up to tell their mum - that to me is a child SCREAMING for attention. They too need help. MOO

I was going to apologise for graphic words, but I am not going to at all - they are facts.

Easy there...I am one who said I'm not sure I buy the story about the 3 little girls. The police are investigating a report that there may have been sexual assault.

And they absolutely should investigate. However, the initial information reported leads me to question the story. That's not DISMISSING and I haven't jumped to the point of being one who "will always believe that these girls made it up...". I don't know what went on/didn't go on. That's why police are investigating. Questioning the story isn't dismissing a report of a child's sexual assault!!

If this is true, I definitely agree that this is most likely why the family isn't speaking to media right now. Also, it means that she is most likely deceased, another reason why her parents aren't manning the volunteer booth, etc.

Isn't that actually the UNCLE? It was sleuthed here earlier that the spokesman who called himself her uncle, is actually the son of the sister in law. Thus he is actually HER COUSIN, Correct?

This is all speculation on my part:

Regarding lack of info at pressers and wanting the celis family to speak with media - I think LE may be doing the pressers for the sole purpose of keeping Isa in the news rather than provide info on the investigation. LE wanting the family to speak with media so LE can pull away from the daily pressers but still keep Isa in the news. All MOO

Regarding NG and the professional cleaning crew at the Celis house - If this is true, my first thought is that the Celis' may be thinking about selling the house. As far as I know, they haven't returned to their house (someone correct me if I missed anything on that), and I don't blame them. I wouldn't feel safe there for one, and everything would remind me of the fact that my child is not there. If I were in their situation I would actually sell my home for both reasons. Again, this is all MOO and speculation...

This is her response to the presser from 2 pm yesterday.
He stated that there is really no new information and that is why they are considering stopping the regular briefings. This is the first thing he said.
Later in the presser he says they do have information they are still working on, but as all along in the case they cannot share that as it is of a sensitive nature to the investigation of the case. This is my understanding.
He said-- I don't want to come up here and stand up here and sound like a broken record. My point is, he never said there was new information, and I believe he uses "sensitive nature" in the context of specific details that might hinder their work.

This male cousin has inserted himself in the case from the start. I believe he was sleeping in the home that night. I know he was one of the first to start searching as he knocked on the neighbors door at 8:05 am. He spoke to the media as the first family spokesmen. And I am going to guess that he may have been the one that 'tucked her in" at 11 pm.

Right now we only know the person that knocked on the door as the "uncle" per the statement of the neighbor.

What is on HLN social media, is what it is, until it comes from LE. LE showed great concern at the press conference yesterday (I think) regarding what "social media" was putting out as they are wrong with their information, or something to that effect.

This is how rumors and rampant speculation get started. We've seen it in other cases, where NG has made statements like this with very little to refer to, other than "sources.". And the statements have been utterly false. I'll reserve judgment on something like that until I see it backed up by MSM.

Katydid23, Thx so much for this. I thought the same thing. I *knew* I had seen that somewhere.

I have just been lurking and praying for Isabel. I just don't know what to think about her parents being so seemingly uninvolved in trying to help find her but I have to believe they know things we don't and that they are truly acting in her best interest whether we understand or not.

Was it confirmed she was in school on Friday? Was it confirmed what time her mom went to work that Saturday?

I'm finding myself trying to decipher fact from rumours. I honestly don't know what the facts are in this case except that Isabel, a 6 year old little hispanic girl went to bed at 11 and was gone by 8 am.

No, LE has not confirmed anything about school, who was in the house etc...and the family did not take questions. So we have basically nothing to work with, at all. Just that she is gone and LE does not believe she left on her own.

NG stated that it was "confirmed" that she and her brothers were at school Friday. Make of that what you will.

However, we do have more than one person who definitively saw Isabel at the game Friday night, so there is that for some sort of official timeline. I don't know if LE has officially "confirmed" she was there, but we do have MSM articles for this.

FWIW: I don't "do" Facebook but come across the link to NG's when I visit CNN/HLN website. The only thing that I generally glean from her FB comments is that she will cover a particular case on her HLN show that night. Having taught high school Journalism, I call what Nancy Grace does "entertainment reporting" and don't put much stock in the discussions - most of which are scripted. Last night's body language analysts were totally predictable: One was scripted to say a certain thing about the parents, while the other "expert" challenged it. I was not amused. :moo:

Google News has a new link that a source close to Isabel's family stated that LE is looking closely at a male cousin of Isabel's. The link is to HLN's Nancy Grace page, FWIW. There's no more info than that there.

The uncle has been on many people's radar here from almost the beginning and glad to see the truth is finally coming out.

Also, I'm not surprised that it is Nancy Grace who is responsible for breaking this story. And after the beat-down she took here this past two days, good for her.
