They may have had tickets with no refund and had to go back for school? I thought it was odd that nothing was brought up about it at the presser today about the 3 girls & possibly being connected to Isabel. I could have missed that as I turned the tv on & the Lt. was already talking. Was there a mention of the 3 girls? The questions sure stopped fast at the end of the presser.

I'm a bit confused about the sexual assault complaint. Did an adult see the man in the home at any point? I'm wondering if the girls overheard the grandparent and mother discussing Isabel. I sure hope it didn't happen anyway. If so, those girls must be scared out of their mind.

In regards to how "odd" the parents were acting.....maybe this is a huge differance but when my son passed away our world started spinning the other direction, neither of us were making any sense, couldn't think straight and people even commented that at the funeral we didn't seem that upset. We didn't have a clue how to act or what the right thing was so we just did what we thought we should do. Even now, 6 months later, I still find myself acting odd. I think her family is in shock, confused, scared and angry and God only knows all of the stuff that has not been made public. I think everyone needs to give them a break and remember that they are human and not all people act the same. Sorry for my rant, I just feel bad for them.

There must have been evidence of a sexual assault. They reacted that way.
And the Sheriff's office reported on NG that they questioned the girls separately to get the composite sketch and they made consistent statments, each adding a bit more to the description.

How sad for you, to lose your son! That just breaks my heart. I can't imagine your pain. My condolences.

I agree with you, everyone needs to give them a break.

I sincerely hope that the alleged home invasion and sexual assault of a young female was not a hoax or the figment of a child's imagination. The composite sketch of the perp is very realistic and might lead to an identification of the individual. I would hate to think that someone might be wrongly or unjustly accused if the report wasn't true. I truly hope that this is not the case. :moo:

Earlier the reports stated that three children had been sexually assaulted and that apparently was not a fact either.

This is what I heard the Captain state on NG. Only one girl was able to fully able to help with the sketch artist. The other two gave some details which were consistent. (This could mean the other two girls said, "Yeah, he was a white guy.")

I do not believe the Captain stated on NG that a sexual assault or an assault had occurred. NG used the word assault, but not sexual assault.

When the Captain described what happened, he stated that two girls were in the bed and one was sleeping on the floor in a pup tent. One of the girls saw a man crouching over them. Then the man walked out of the room. Later, the man returned and said something to the girls. One girl confronted him. The man left the bedroom after this and one girl went to tell her mother that there was a man in the house.

At > than $700/ticket, I doubt it.

Mark Johnson, who has 4 kids, lives on the street where the sexual assault took place.
"It's shocking because they were only here for the first time last night."

I have searched everywhere for news that states this family with 3 little girls went home to Hawaii, and have not found anything on that. I have seen local news showing the extensive LE power the PCSD is devoting to this crime. I see no evidence anywhere that this is being taken lightly.

IIRC tonight, during Jane/Issues show, there was a reporter on the show that indicated that the mother and the three children went back to Hawaii. The transcript of the show is not up yet and I didn't record the show.

ETA: Jane said they left for Hawaii. Senior Producer stated the "kids have left the house".

They had just arrived the day before this happened so I'm sure they would not have had return tickets already for the next day.

Well, maybe the Captain mispoke or NG producers edited his segment, but I TRUST LE more than I trust the media.

I am going by the Pima County Sheriff Department News Release on this case that I linked in another post aobve.

Detectives from the Crimes Against Children Unit have determined that the three girls and their
mother were visiting grandparents in Tucson. Last night, the three girls were in a bedroom when
a male suspect entered the home and committed acts of sexual assault

Why would they lie in a news release?

So with you there! After a lengthy post about the area of the 3-girl incident, I want to slam my head into a wall. I live in that area. I know there are certain "elements" in this area. I have LE for neighbors. But, no... WS doesn't want me to share. :banghead:

I am not sure why I am hearing what sounds like distrust of LE in Tucson, not by you, but in general
It is unfounded IMO.

Anyway, I am going by the Pima County Sheriff Department News Release on this case that I linked aobve.

Perhaps it wasn't a lie. It is possible that the description/perception of the "event" was recently changed by the little girls.

To me that begs the question of why would the Captain of the Pima County Sheriff's office waste his time going on Nancy Grace.

It seems very odd that I find myself posting that this is a real crime, so I am stopping here.
