Although I don't think tania should have been giving numerous interviews, I'm pleased she did!
We get to see her for what she really is. Her stories don't add up, she is making on her eldest daughter shouldn't be listened to, when she was the last person to see Bella and rector and makes everything about her! Right down to tania wants to be the one to get a confession out of him!

Does anyone know if she is back in the family home? Last I heard she was in a hotel.

Sometimes it feels quite striking how many people I've come across over the years who *knew* Susan Smith was flat out lying her face off. 1994 and I'd been on the internet for about a year, so I did discuss this case with some friends online but that was back in the day where discussion forum posts might take hours to update, so it certainly wasn't live and/or instant like we have now. I remember it almost as clear as last week, the first time I saw one of her televised "pleas" for her children. She wasn't even done talking and I yelled out, turned to my hubby and said "she's lying through her teeth, she killed those boys!!"

I honestly don't know how I knew, but I knew. I don't know if it was her body language, audio inflection, facial expression, the fabled "women's 6th sense" or what it was (or maybe a combination of all that) but something deep inside said "this woman in lying, she killed her children". That was the first case I ever really followed and it was a LOT harder back then than it is now. No one I knew at the time agreed with me that she was lying but as the years go by it's kind of nice to know there were many others that watched her during those first few weeks and had that inner-whatever say "she's lying, she did it".

It's just good to know I wasn't the only weirdo ;) who didn't buy it from her, and doesn't buy it with other liars who play the media for whatever twisted reason.

I too was the only person at my work who did not believe Susan Smith. I was jumped on and argued with and told I had no compassion for a mother who had lost her two little boys. I instantly "knew" too that she had killed them. Friends and co-workers ate crow for a while on that case.

Given that the arraignment hearing was later that day for ''father'' of the house - raises some too much coincidence for me right now....I haven't read what happened at that hearing or if '''father''' even showed up in court that day...wondered if that was a contrived stall (((sounds awful -- sorry)))

Can someone confirm if JJR has already entered a plea on the kidnapping and murder charges?

I firmly believe these cases should serve as a wake-up call to CPS workers to be even more diligent with removing children from unsafe environments before a tragedy occurs. The same goes for when they are returning children back into the care of parents that were negligent or abusive. There needs to be higher standards and we as a society need to hold them to that standard.

Hopefully extended family members that may have a TG in their family, will also be more pro-active. Whether it be by offering more support systems or taking steps to remove the children from dangerous environments. Keeping the peace in the family is not worth a child's life.

If I worked with CPS I would look each mother in the eye and ask them, Do you love your child? Or do you love you? Then I would make them read in full every case on this website pertaining to a child. THEN, I would ask them those same two questions. I would also tell them it is OK if you love YOU more... we will find some one who does love this child more.... and to go on and have a good life. A large percentage of the cases we see on here happen in families where the children have been removed before.

The sister notified Foster's mother and then called her mother. The other adults returned home and they began looking for Bella. When they were unable to locate her, they contacted police at about 1:30 a.m.

I was told that my daughter made a statement to (the Daily News) and you (reporters) took it out of proportion, that there was a text message,” Grogan said. “Well, you know what? She’s 10 years old, under a lot of stress right now, and she doesn’t know what the heck she’s saying.

“How would Justin even have had a phone? Because the FBI had my phone and there wasn’t a text message. I just want that to be clear.

http://www.mohavedailynews.com/news...cle_2b908420-3660-11e4-a821-0019bb2963f4.html

What phone did the 10 year old use to call her mother? There were zero cell phones available in the house for Rector to use/take? Is the text app from cellphone to cellphone the ONLY way two people can message each other? (rhetorical question.) There 'wasn't a text message'. Was there another kind of message? Because you didn't deny any communication between yourself and JR. Just denied a text message was found by FBI on your phone.

Has the FBI had anything to say about this statement?

(my daughter made a statement and you took it out of proportion) What was the 10 year old's original statement? How exactly was it taken out of proportion?

The sister also told the Daily News that Rector later texted messages to the family indicating that he had Grogan-Cannella and asking what they were going to do about it.

Here in the great white north, after a suspect is in custody, LE can no longer publicly discuss details of the case as it is before the court and could hinder prosecution. Victim's family's are doubly invested in ensuring prosecution is air-tight and are told not to speak to media.

This is why I am so boggled in this case - TG is HELPING Defence Counsel by providing several alternate versions of the events that tragic night. She is handing them reasonable doubt.

When the forensics come back from the autopsy, I doubt there will be any doubt, much less 'reasonable' doubt of who killed Bella.

ETA: I do agree though, she needs to shut the *** up.

Thank you. It is a TOUGH job that I don't have the wherewithal to do.

I know many case workers and for the most part these are hard-working, diligent and caring people that have too many cases and not enough resources. The legal system jams them up and parents lie. I saw it every day when I covered courts.

I recognize there are no easy answers. All it takes is one worker to fight through the physical and legal exhaustion, and do more.

I also hold neighbours accountable - If you see drugs being used in a residence or people partying and coming and going all night, and there are children in that home - don't close your eyes and say it's none of your business. It takes a village to raise a child and if your village is inundated with low-life's around children - DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

If you are a police officer that has picked up someone on a drug charge or violent offense, and that person has children in their care, perhaps a call to CPS is in order. My family are all police and they do what they can, but many don't. They too have too many cases and not enough time.

My question is, how much time is worth a child's life.

haven't heard a peep from LE on this ....

I bet Bella had a cell phone....and as you pointed out the responsible 10 yr old had access to a phone as father said there was a call from the daughter alerting them that Bella was no where to be found and that JR had gone too.

Her words are slippery for sure

Here's the strange thing, that burglary happened Aug 21st, as of two days ago all but Folster was in jail. Bella was taken Sept 2nd. I checked again today, and even though he's been indicted still no arrest. I'm assuming this is why LE went with guns drawn for the search warrant of the house concerning Bella, they knew he had guns.

Do you think at first they thought she was kidnapped due to people thinking he snitched on the ones in jail? LE has proof JJR did this, but I do wonder what the mother's thought process was at the time, and why they never mentioned JJR at first. Maybe JJR was connected to a burglary/drug ring with them, and there's a whole lot more going on we haven't heard yet. Just throwing that out there.

And thank you for your post. Could not have said it better. My son was a homicide and missing persons detective for years. He recently changed direction and went to work as an school resource officer. He said he wanted to try to work at the problems on the opposite end for awhile and try to change some of the outcomes. Bless our public workers for all they do.

Just taking a stroll down Justin James Rector Criminal History Lane and wanted to see if there were ever charges of any animal cruelty (the reason I was asking about the whole pet strangling claim) and didn't see any. Interestingly enough, what I also do not see is kidnapping or murder charges, so I don't know how often this is updated but the shoplifting at the top of the list here is from this week - his little Walmart trip. In any event, here's the short list going back 14 yrs:

IMO, the police would have issued an amber alert if they suspected any type of kidnapping. The parents gave them no reason to suspect anyone by not providing ANY possible scenarios to the 911 operator. The ONLY reason they were looking for JJR and tied it with the shoplifting occurrence, was because a brave 10year old girl defied her parents and told the truth.

Rectors criminal record is not hard to find.....Tania is familiar with SM....she has 2 FB accounts that I've seen. No excuse for her not knowing his criminal history. Some are even the same as hers!

That's possible :( I thought it had been posted but maybe not.

In any event, the reason I wanted to see it again (I thought I'd already seen it) was this:

"Investigators first learned of Rector's potential role in Isabella's disappearance and murder from her 10-year-old sister, according to court documents. The 10-year-old, whose name is redacted throughout the report, told investigators that she and Isabella were at their mother's home playing hide-and-seek with Rector on Monday. The older girl said she went to the restroom at some point and when she came out, Rector and Isabella were gone, according to court records."

Then this:

"The girls' mother returned home with friends and contacted police early Tuesday morning after she could not find Isabella, according to court documents. Investigators began looking for Rector that morning and found him near a highway in Bullhead City at about 3 a.m. Tuesday, according to court records. Police believe Rector stole a pair of shoes and other clothes from the Walmart, and Rector admitted to hiding his old belongings in the store, according to a police report."

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news...sing-girl-body-arrest-bullhead-city/15072651/

As we all know, Rector's name was never once mentioned in the 911 call but they (LE) did learn of him through Bella's sister. NOT THE PARENTS. Bella's sister may be young and may have been stressed out in the situation but she knew enough to tell LE he was there and then disappeared the same time Bella did.

Which brings me to this comment:

"I was told that my daughter made a statement to (the Daily News) and you (reporters) took it out of proportion, that there was a text message,” Grogan said. “Well, you know what? She’s 10 years old, under a lot of stress right now, and she doesn’t know what the heck she’s saying." http://www.mohavedailynews.com/news...cle_2b908420-3660-11e4-a821-0019bb2963f4.html

I have to wonder why TG is trying so hard to get the general public to believe her older daughter isn't credible. Is it because neither she or RF were the ones who told the police the truth about JR being there, but it came from her daughter instead? If Bella's sister's info to the police was credible enough for them to go look for him and eventually arrest him, I really wonder if the messages she said he sent were also just as credible. And since it certainly wouldn't have been the sister he sent the messages to, it would have had to have been either RF or TG or both of them, and then one or both of them started talking about it within earshot of the sister.

I believe one of the reporters asked about these messages at the PC and LE answered they can't comment on that right now, ongoing investigation, etc.

In any case, TG is trying very hard to have all of us believe her older daughter doesn't "know what the heck she's saying". I beg to differ.

Didn't the grandmother who was on Nancy Grace also corroborate that there was communication between TG and JR?

So her mother who was never a mother is a liar and her own daughter doesn't know what the heck she's saying?

TG is quoted in the Mohave Daily News article as saying "Right now everybody’s just talking out their a--.” Let me just say, I do agree some people are talking out of their, erm, bottoms :butthead:, but I don't believe Grandma Who was Never a Mother and Sister are two of them.

Can someone confirm if JJR has already entered a plea on the kidnapping and murder charges?

"Not guilty pleas were entered early Thursday when Rector had an initial court appearance on the murder, kidnapping and shoplifting charges. The hearing was conducted through a video link connecting Rector from the jail in Kingman with Justice Court in Bullhead City. The sheriff’s office said the judge ordered that Rector be held without bail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 12."

Thanks for providing that. U.S. courts work very differently apparently.

The reason I asked, since he hasn't confessed, JJR may very well try to implicate TG and RF in the murder. With the discrepancies in accounts and perhaps inability to prove there whereabouts (not buying the 90 minute WM trip), they are essentially setting themselves up for an alternate portrayal of the crime.
