This Mother's Day note that Bella wrote to her mother makes my heart heavy...

If JJR had help .. what of the (one or more) assistant's clothes? Footprints at the crime scene?

Did Isabella fight back? Forensics. Fingernails. Who knows.

Considering what has been revealed thus far, I'd say JJR acted alone.

You're saying he would have changed clothes after murdering Bella and burying her, then going to Walmart to change again bc he was muddy from burying her? If he murdered her in the house and carried her naked from her waist down to where he buried her, why would he care about his clothes being dirty? If he actually carried her half naked to the spot where he buried her, I don't see him worrying to much about his clothes before disposing of her.

IMVHO, it all points to someone else assisting...

After rape / murder at the house, JJR changed shirt(s).

After the burial JJR realized he needed another change.

Why did the news focus on that shed? Is that a downstairs slider also, or is it just a low window? Also, here's the trash bins, looks like there's a slider upstars, exterior of the front of the home, etc...

If the underwear and jeans found are what she was wearing does this mean Rector carried a half naked (alive or not alive) 8 year old to where he buried her and no one seen this. 11:30 isn't that late. Seems strange to me. And if she was alive at that point and those were her clothes she'd have been making noise or struggling considering she wouldn't have been clothed fully. None of this makes any sense. JMO

In general I find it difficult to believe he transported her anywhere on foot, clothed or not. He is a scrawny guy and Bella was an average sized 8 year old at around 80-90 lbs. I think he must have made her walk some of the distance or he used someone's car. The scent dogs should have led them straight to her if she walked, though, right? And it also doesn't sound like he killed her at the house based on her sister's version of events.

But that's what I'm not understanding. He bothered to change but didn't bother to put something on the bottom half of Bella? He didn't even slide a skirt on her, something, anything. If he changed before he left, it makes me wonder if he wrapped Bella in a sheet or blanket so if he were seen he could just pretend he had a sleeping child.

That's what I think as well, it's so unbelievable to me. Then again, I've read so many news reports of people having alot more strength when high on meth, crack, bath salts, etc.

But the question that still lingers is if he's the actual murderer or if he's only guilty of disposing her body. If Bella was raped, I'd want to know if it was by him & only him.

The venue for the Friday arraignment has been changed, in effort to address Sheriff's concern of safety (jail operations) and also to address the court room capacity (current court room is 'small').

The media coverage hearing still is set for this afternoon .. but there is at least a better chance of cameras-permitted given the relocation of the arraignment ..but who knows. It seems there has been a huge push to keep cameras out....

His shoe prints were found at the burial scene. Was there a trail from the home of his taped up shoes leading to her shallow grave, or could the trail have been from the paved road that stops right before the wash where she was buried? If he transported her via the road, I can't see him carrying her without being seen, it'd most likely be by car.

My guess is, if he raped Isabella at the house, he also murdered Isabella at the house.

I hate this case but I can't stay away from this thread. I'm so freakin sick of crap happening to kids bc one or both of their parents are messed up on drugs & can't get their chit together. It's so frustrating to those of us that would help anyone yet our voices are never heard to make a difference. Too much red tape & rules by lawmakers making everything "politically correct". We need harsher punishments for repeat offenders - make their butts do a few years of detox in jail, then a controlled secure halfway house, then outside living where they have to maintain a job and random drug testing, parenting classes, self help classes, psychiatric therapy, etc. Their children are owed that at the very least.

We are not privy to information regarding method / mode of transport. If he carried Isabella he likely would have been seen ..off-road routes would be difficult as I believe most are fenced perimeters.

Given where Isabella's body was buried, it is likely she was transported via vehicle but as unlikely as it seems we can not yet rule out on-foot transport. Perhaps inside a wheeled waste container?

Good idea but what about the noise? That late at night, a work night for most people, wheeling a garbage can down the street with an almost 100lb girl in it would be sure make noise. Wouldn't it have waken somebody up?

(thinking out loud) So the search warrant was served 2 days after, wondering if police observed panties on wall and clothing in bins when first searching for Bella

It states its his attorney's number.

I'm glad they're doing this. It means they're taking reports serious. Several people have commented elsewhere on skeptical things Rector supposedly told people. It could also show if he was attempting to put together a back up. I wonder, can they pull transcripts of the calls if they were done from inside of a jail? Those lines are recorded, right? I think visitation calls (visits where a window separates the visitor from the inmate) could be recorded as well, or no? I think this is being said bc it's going around that Rector told someone he only helped with the burial... This was all over social media and comments on news articles, all were reported to the police.

JJR didn't act alone, no doubt in my mind now. JMO

When I read brown stains I first thought poop.... 30 years of IBD

You just reminded me....when police were going door-to-door through the apartment complex looking for Jorelys Rivera, an officer initially 'cleared' the vacant apartment she was murdered in because though there was blood spatter all over the bathroom, he saw it and decided it was fecal....spatter? Jorelys was already dead and in the dumpster at this time, but.... :sigh:
