JMO but all the people who are saying no no it's not true are victimizing the children all over again. It was difficult enough for them to live through it and then tell the truth despite the threats and now a portion of the community is in effect saying that those poor children must be lying or totally delusional since none of it's true and Jerice is going to be exonerated.

I do understand that it may be difficult to accept that someone you may have liked and trusted could have done something like that but the children were there. They know what happened and they have the scars to show for it.

The Christian Fellowship Church claims to have raised $3,000 of the $10,000 needed for Jerice Hunter’s bond, 10 percent of the total bond of $100,000.

“Glendale is trying to save face before Thanksgiving,” said Reverend Dr. Jeffrey Metcalff. “She will be exonerated of these charges.”

The reverend spoke outside the jail on Tuesday, joined by Hunter’s father. They both believe she is innocent.

This sure does make me question the morals of this reverend, knowing that he knows she tortures children.

Did anybody at her school notice anything? Aren't they mandatory reporters?
Bruises and burn marks and nobody could do anything to get this girl outta there?

I don't get this at all. Wow. The absolute horror this baby went through at the hands of that beast is unfathomable.

I wonder if her parental rights regarding Jhessye were ever legally terminated, since she was not born at the time of the prior conviction. She is not listed on any of the CA court documents, which is why I think she fled to AZ to have Jhessye, "turn her over" to the cousins, then return to CA.

I'm not giving AZ CPS a 'bye' on the April 2011 report of abuse and inaction on their part. Just addressing Jhessye...

ETA: I guess I'm thinking from the cousin's perspective - that LE shows up and says Jhessye has to go with Jerice. They had no immediate legal recourse.

I agree. It is likely doubtful that they even had a guardianship of Jhessye.

A Valley bail-bond company says it has denied an offer to write a bond for Jerice Hunter because her daughter is still missing and the bond amount is too low.
The operators of Regulator Bail Bonds, Inc., tweeted and Facebooked their displeasure last night, urging the state's other bail-bond companies to follow their lead.

Good for them! That's what we need in this country. More people willing to put human life ahead of the dollar.

My own thought on the school absence thing is that the ringworm excuse was come up with after someone noticed hair loss. Ringworm can and does sometimes cause thinning or bald patches when it affects the scalp.

Signs were becoming visible that something was wrong. Therefore, Jerice pulled her out of school and the closet torture began in earnest. Once things hit that point, I don't think it was intended that anyone outside that "home" ever see the child again.

So: Jerice is convicted of child abuse/torture while pregnant with Jhessye. CPS places her already born children with Jerice's mother, Shirley Johnson. All this takes place in CA. Jerice goes to AZ where she has some cousins. She gives birrth to Jhessye, leaving her with one of the cousins, and goes back to CA to report for her sentencing. Jerice's parental rights are SEVERED by CPS and the courts.

Flash forward to Jerice's early release from prison. Grandmother Shirley Johnson hands over the children to Jerice, despite the severance. CPS continues to to blindly assume that the children are with grandma Shirley. It does not looking likely that any sort of checking in, home visits, follow ups, or anything at all were being done by CPS in CA to monitor how Grandma and the kids in her care were faring.

After collecting her children from Shirley Johnson in CA, Jerice moves them all to AZ, where she shows up at the cousins house demanding her baby (the now fourish Jhessye). The cousin is unable to proove her rights or claim to Jhessye as the arrangement was never a formal one is forced or intimidated into handing the child over.

Flash forward to April, 2011: A relative contacts AZ CPS with concerns that Jhessye is being abused (perhaps the cousin who raised Jhessye, unclear at this time). CPS goes to the home, and for whatever reason finds no evidence of abuse and does not seem to be aware that Jerice's parental rights were severed in CA and that none of those children should even be with her in the first place. No action is taken.

And now to today which finds us searching a landfill for a beautiful child that knew untold terror and torture at the hands of her own mother.

This one is gonna pizzz me off for a long long time.

I am waiting to hear how the surviving siblings are going to be painted as liars.

Where does the grandfather live? Is it in his best interests to get this swept under a rug because he was aware of the abuse that was going on?

I pray that the siblings are in undisclosed foster homes - a safe place where their grandparents are prevented from "visiting" them. There's no telling what sort of threats those two would use in order to protect their WCC. (that's shorthand for West Coast Casey) I would not be at all surprised to learn that the kids were abused while in the custody of Grandma Shirley as well.

Me either Carrie. They cant tell me that these children led a normal life. Playing outside with friends. Having friends over etc. These children had to have shown not only some physical signs but mental as well. God Bless them as they go thru life. I pray they heal and learn what love really is.

ITA! I would expect a minister to offer empathy and spiritual guidance to anyone in need while remaining neutral. But to raise money for and publicly declare a convicted child torturer innocent? Well he just publicly picked evil over good didn't he? His congregation should think about that and worry.

There has to be some evidence in that closet for LE to disclose now a homicide case. I did read/hear Jerice cleaned with Clorox bleach. I wonder if Clorox is not as effective at destroying forensics as regular Bleach.

If the closet was carpeted, I think there would be no way to remove the evidence. If it was a hard floor, chances seem better to get it completely clean.
