Bumping for Sweet Jhessye!

Good point, but I wish I could figure out what she needed them for. I don't think she could have used them for school registration. I think all Arizona schools require a certified copy. Here's an (unofficial) article from azcentral that says what is required for kindergarten registration, "Birth certificate or other legal document: This includes an original birth certificate, original baptismal record, refugee card, passport, Department of Economic Security or court papers assigning custody. Divorced, separated or other legal guardians are responsible for providing GESD with the necessary legal custody papers."

Tempe schools says much the same thing, a certified birth certificate:

(I would have posted the official link to the school district closest to jerice, but I kept running into Glendales that aren't in Arizona.)

The AZ Central link is actually for the Glendale Elem. School District. :)

Besides, I think Jhessye was already enrolled in kindergarten, so if she still had the check for Vital Records (i.e., hadn't sent it in yet), it had to be for some other reason.

Bump!!

Sweet Jhessye. Where did she hide your body, honey. Jerice needs to be punished for all she did to you.

Shockley's grandmother: Race is a factor

The head of the Valley's chapter of the NAACP, meanwhile, strongly disagrees with Johnson.

"I do not believe race is involved in this," the Rev. Oscar Tillman said. "I think that they have done everything possible and still doing everything possible in this matter."

Johnson says race is the reason police haven't searched the Butterfield Landfill, where they believe the little girl's body might be found.

Refuse to give Shirley f/k/a Susie a moment of my attention, particularly since it is just more of the same old tired refrain.

Jerice, where is Jhessye? I'd like to see she and Shirley out there picking through the landfill. I'd like to see even one of then physically look for our tiny dancer rather than pay lip service to how maligned and vilified they have been.

These two [unusual persons] really :burn: me

FWIW, I (of European descent) texted my DD in Glendale, AZ (of European and NA descent) the DAY Jhessye was reported missing! She said she would be on the lookout for her and let her co-workers (of various ethnicities) know to look out for her. The VERY SAD truth of this matter is that THERE WAS NO CHILD TO LOOK FOR!!! She was long gone before anybody of ANY ethnicity could keep an eye out for her! SOOO sad that this beautiful child never had a chance.

There are those (and I'm sure it is a majority) who CARE - regardless of the shade of somebody's skin (my family are many 'colors'). The only person responsible for the fate of Jhessye is Jerice!

I am watching closely to see where Jerice shows up - and have warned DD to keep and eye out for her (and keep DGS close).

God willing, justice will be swift for Jhessye and her siblings - as should have been done YEARS ago!

JMHO

Shirley...Was her race an issue when Jhessye was killed and put in the landfill? Or was it just plain old human cruelty that extends beyond racial lines?

It's funny (funny peculiar, not funny ha ha) how she ignores the way Jhessye supposedly ended up in the landfill.

Just blame the people who are planning to search for her so maybe someone will forget who is really to blame.

Arrest coming in Jhessye Shockley case
GLENDALE -- Police say they are getting closer to making an arrest in the disappearance and presumed death of Jhessye Shockley, the 5-year-old Glendale girl who vanished in October.

Maasen thinks they don't have enough to arrest his client? Hmmn, it's my impression that he hasn't been told a single detail about the investigation. Isn't that what he has been whining about?

I felt a giant sense of relief after reading this story!!

Wondering if this kind of statement from GPD means some of that evidence collected has proved fruitful. I don't think they would say this in relation to the Landfill search. Or maybe someone came forward to say they gave Jerice a ride somewhere.

Whatever it is, I have faith in GPD!!! They will see that our Sweet Jhessye gets justice!!!

BBM...

Misdirection.....a tool of scammers everywhere. But it won't work this time Shirley/Susie. No one is falling for that tired old routine of yours.

Jerice...GPD is coming for you. And it won't be because of your race. It will be due to the fact that you abused your beautiful little girl Jhessye until she died.

I don't think so.. I think they mean they aren't going to arrest her this moment... but are making methodical plans to search the place they think she is at in the landfill:

"We are progessing down the path toward making an arrest of the person or persons responsible for Jhessye's death," Glendale Police Sgt Brent Coombs said.

Right now the focus is on laying the groundwork for searching the massive Butterfield Station Landfill near Mobile, south of the Valley.

"We're hopeful that will begin within a matter of days," Coombs said. "We're working closely with the county attorney and we both want the strongest case possible prior to making an arrest."

Thanks Nurse, I was being facetious. How could two news stories have such different titles, yet convey the same information?

tlcox, you're right about giving any attention to Shirley, or jerice for that matter. Until Jhessye is found and jerice has been arrested, I'll not mention their names again. This is about finding and bringing her home to Tycora.

Absolutely. Those who actually loved and cared for Jhessye deserve the chance to lay her to rest with dignity. They deserve closure. They should not be haunted by the thought of that sweet little angel being buried in a pile of trash. Tycora needs to bury her child if she is ever to find any peace. She was Jhessye's mother in every way that counted.

I pray that those dedicated officers can find Jhessye. It will not be an easy task, and they may need Divine Guidance.

Jhessye our beautiful little butterfly deserves justice. She was just being a little girl; and she and her siblings were beat by a monster who does not deserve the title mother. Her poor siblings had to watch their little sister suffer the worst kind of abuse, one that likely lead to her death. The other woman does not deserve the title grandmother.
