It has to be acts prior to the crime she's on trial for. So Tammy's murder wouldn't be a prior bad act to Brandon's attempted murder.

And just for clarity - I'm not saying the state will present prior bad acts, I'm just wondering if they will get them in for Brandon's trial.

You're right that we ask the question "what took so long?"

Yet, that question should not accumulate favor toward the defendant, whose choices and acts kept prolonging the larger conspiracy (that which resulted in the murder and despicable treatment of the remains of the two children).

ETA: And those choices and acts (including moving out of the area with witnesses Alex, Tylee, and JJ) ALSO impacted evidence in this smaller conspiracy that might otherwise have been available to LE.
