Asking about the alternate juror selection…she must have preferences about which jurors will compose the 12 to enter deliberations.
Yep. She wants all men I'm sure.Asking about the alternate juror selection…she must have preferences about which jurors will compose the 12 to enter deliberations.
IIRC:Lori Vallow Daybell.....This doomsday case has to be one the most disturbingly diabolical murder cases I have ever followed. Putting the three major culprits aside, I can't believe the way her family protected her and in their total ignorance enabled more murders, the way CV and family were ignored or the way AZ law enforcement handled the case in such a lazy inept manner initially ignoring many waving red flags. The entire murder spree has been unbelievable and I so want it to be OVER but it just keeps on keeping on and the she devil just keeps on reveling in the limelight.....JMOO
Hey Justice101 !
The one you saw of her questioning Nancy Jo was perhaps her accurate representation of herself - as the narcissist we all know she is. When we thought she might actually ask Nancy Jo after the break what CV had said about her was probably the most exciting moment of the trial. But alas the judge warned her she could be opening doors she didn’t want to and apparently her advisory council talked her off that ledge during the break and she did not ask that question whey they returned.
I didn’t see much of the last day of testimony myself but have read that her cross of the detective was also a bit fiery.
As for her overall effectiveness as her own council - well she fell woefully short in preparation for trial regarding subpoenaing witnesses and making timely submissions so it was pretty evident that she was in over her head before the first day of testimony. Her cross examination of witnesses throughout seemed to be to make her own little points regarding how she wanted people to perceive her rather than having any real legal impact for the jury to consider.
Her opening has been the only time she’s really been able to get in anything about what she wants the jury to believe happened and she did it by constantly saying “the evidence will show” but then offered no evidence or testimony. My thoughts were she had been studying Jose Biaz’s opening statement in the Casey Anthony trial and providing a narrative without ever really intending to provide evidence or testimony to show anything she said in her narrative.
But she has had her moment in the spotlight which is all I think she ever really hoped to achieve in representing herself so in that she probably considers it a win - because she is a narcissist and can’t really see anything she does as wrong.
ETA: Regarding evidence against her - state had to show from that it was not self defense - the 2nd shot while he was laying on the floor will have a lot of weight with the jury on that one. AC spending the night when he lived only a few minutes away & was supposed to have Adam stay with him that night. Staging of the crime scene - bat near wrong hand of CV and delay in 911 call for over 40 min & AC’s head wound not consistent with being hit by a bat. Texts and timelines. It’s hard for me to say if what was before this jury is enough because I recall so much from the Idaho trials that was not presented here but I think when state does closing and puts it all together for the jury there will be no room for doubt.
I have to say that I believe that Lori does believe that she is an elevated being, she believes all the crap that Chad Daybell told her and built on it.Question:
Does anyone think LVD is actually delusional? Delusions of religion, that is.
She's about as narcissist as they come but does she believe she's some kind of elevated being?
There's nothing divine about elevating your sorry self above everyone else's.
Delusional and calculated are two different things.
I'm just curious how y'all would characterize her.

I view Lori as the female version of Charles Manson.I still often think back to when I first heard about JJ and Tylee missing and saw Kay's interview where she said Lori thought she was a Goddess and that her whole family followed her around like they believed she was one.
I thought to myself, that is crazy, I have to see what is up with this. And here I am, at the 3rd trial with the Goddess acting as her own attorney! It's been wild!
It was reported that their finances went up and down.Just thinking.....I believe LVD's family, including her parents and some siblings, followed her lead and avoided crossing her because her husband made a lot of money, and the family was well aware of it. In families where one member has access to significant financial resources, they often gain respect and influence, regardless of their actions or mental state. It seems like the perception of money tied to LVD gave her undue control and sway within the family, no matter how concerning her behavior was.
Other than this, I can’t figure out why some family members turned a blind eye to her actions.
I like, good oneI don’t think it was callous indifference. I think she showed callous delight at his death
They did. They were broadcasting live. Big oops.Something weird just happened. CourtTV's livestream is gone. Fox l0's and East Idaho News is playing the livestream but it was already shown on Court TV's livestream. I'm wondering if CourtTV accidently went live. I don't know.
Can’t say that I entirely disagree @lonetraveler …… unfortunately …… yet I do wonder though what CD would think of that accolade? MOOI view Lori as the female version of Charles Manson.
