I love Nate. I think he deserved to get this interview and did a great job.
He got some great lines out of her that will ensure she never gets out on appeal.
She can't decide if this is the Lord's work or the fault of the justice system, whether she is willingly on this mission, and whether God told her to do something, or she didn't do it. IMO.
I cannot marry up real delusion with awareness, and have to disagree with the diagnosis of delusion. She has fake delusion-manipulation going on. IMO
Lori Daybell:
Reality
...there's defenses going on, there's all these things going on that you wish, like 'why can't we just go in and tell our side of the story? ...you thought they get to tell their side of the story what they think happened and you get to go in and tell your side of the story of what happened and then the jury gets to decide, and that's not what happens, that's not what happens at all, and it's so sad and disappointing that that's the way it is.
Fake delusion
I know God put me here for a purpose
Reality
Nate: Four juries have said you and Chad and Alex caused the tragedy...
Yeah,
that's the judicial system.
Fake delusion
So in 2017 I was told by the Lord that I was going to become like Job and lose everything. Will I do this job and lose everything.
We were fore-ordained to do this mission right? Um the Lord is using Chad and I right now, and this is what he's told us, as instruments in his hands.
God put me here for this purpose, he needs somebody who's the life of the party, somebody who teaches the girls how to workout, somebody who teaches the girls how to have fun and dance and do all those things in this, the worst jail in the Country.
Reality
Nate: Why didn't you tell all this to the police? Why didn't you tell them all this when you were arrested, explain this to them?
Really? What happens to people when they say
God told them to do something? They lock 'em up. I'm locked up.
[Ahem, God told you to do what Lori???]
