IM so glad to hear that baby William is safe and seems to Ben well cared for throughout this entire ordeal. I imagine she'll one day get some sort of visitation rights, but i hope jail doesn't change her into someone who gets out and wants revenge....

Yes this is just the start of a long road ahead for Jacob and William. She needs to be far away from Cassie and actually do things from her own choices that are in the best interests for William. Jacob said he wants William to have a Mom too. She was old enough to know what she was doing was wrong and to stop it but making her own decisions will be a lot easier without Cassie the black cloud hovering over her all of the time.

Finally she's been found and know has to deal with intense consequences of her actions. She is probably realizing that all of this wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like she had good role models as parents to show her how to handle tough situations.

So glad baby Will is safe!!

:sigh: She could have been at home loving on her baby but instead he's far away from her. What a mess and all for no gain, other than William is no longer with the crazy grandparents. I struggle to feel sympathy for her honestly

Also, she looks so young, I mean, I know she is young but she looks younger than her age.

I do have some pity for her. she looks devastated and like shes trying not to cry in that pic, to me. I wish she had never done this.

Oh I agree. Her parents were the instigators. I just wish she had put William's needs before their own wants and needs. I guess I'm being cold but half of me feels yes she was controlled and Cassie is the instigator here. And the other half of me feels she thinks she was old enough to have a baby then she should have been old enough to do whats right by him.

That being said, I hope she can move on after all of this, away from Cassie and Roland and have some contact with William.

If this was reversed.....19 yr. old male takes off with baby.....has controlling parents......I bet there wouldn't be any hand wringing sympathy for him. I imagine the wish would be that he have no contact EVER with his baby and demand he spend time in jail.....not getting therapy and understanding.

Maddie was 17 and just about to turn 18 when she got married. She had already graduated from high school and taking college courses. She was almost 19 when William was born. She knew what she was doing, Yes, her family helped create and further her lies, and are messed up, but she knew she was making stuff up about her husband and breaking the law. Sad, because now she is without her baby. She was selfish and could have worked out a parenting plan. But pride and selfishness kept her lying. Now she has these terrible consequences. Shame on them all.
