"I’ll tell you that he had a history of drugs, and he’s been in and out of rehab a few times. He’s never disappeared this long," Dutch said.

According to Dutch, the last place his son was supposed to be was in a parking garage near 2nd Avenue and Van Buren Street.

He drove there for a blind date on Feb. 21. Whether he actually met someone or not remains a mystery, but no one has seen or heard from Marcus since.

On March 19, 2025, patrol officers responded to a call at a rock quarry near 15th Avenue and Broadway Road, where a body was located. Detectives responded to investigate the scene and were later joined by investigators from the Office of the Medical Examiner, who collected the body. Later, in the course of their investigation, the Medical Examiner’s Office was able to identify the body as Freiberger.

This news report by CBS 5 / 3 TV gives additional imformation, that he was allegedly found in a body of water and that he also owned a roofing company, with allegedly people complaining in December he was ripping them off.

His name does indeed appear linked to a company called Strong Roofing LLC in Prescott AZ.
