The bullet fragments removed from #BryanHulsey's leg were thrown out by the Dr. at an officer's direction according to defense

Is there any truth to what the defense lawyer stated in his opening? I mean about the other officer randomly shooting and possibly hitting Ofc. Holly? Why did he run away?

Me too, maybe the cameraman doesn't know if he can keep filming as long as the judge is on the bench.

Going to be interesting to see how JM proves the bullet that shot Officer Holly came from Hulsey's gun. Loved JM's quietly aggressive style during the defense's opening, way to set the scene for what's to come.

Exactly. Love the DA's that feel they can twist the facts for their own purposes....although I guess that is how they make their living.

I guess the def. atty doesn't have any other possible defense to offer, so he's doing what he can. (I would like to know what his client told him about it, but we'll never find that out...). And what other witness can he put up there to back it up?

Juan's in-the-car witness should be a good one. Can't wait to hear & see her.

Don't know Zuri, from articles I've read, Goitia said he ran for cover and as soon as it was safe (Hulsey ran away) he dragged Holly back to safety (although it did no good unfortunately). Also, as far as I've seen, during the autopsy there was no indication Hulsey was going to say it wasn't his bullet so the fragments weren't saved, and Holly was cremated which apparently the defense didn't know because they filed a motion for exhumation to get the fragments, which of course was impossible because of the cremation.

Go to the first pages of this thread. There was an internal LE investigation on the shooting.........HUGE amount of paperwork.

Most of what you need to know is in there. Including Shot Spotter and the specs on their systems. There will be a witness from that company.

This case has the legal motions of the Arias trial :facepalm:, multiple lawyers, self representation, a defendant who seems to have spent most of his time in the "Law Library" (if they have one in jail)........like I said, 7 Shades of Arias all over.
