I've only caught a few bits of this trial. So many glitches and the archive is terrible.

I think Patsy Jones did very well. We didn't get to see her on direct, but she sure wasn't playing into the defense's cross. I think it was pretty disgusting that he brought up her teeth, implying that her meth use was the reason for their loss. If he had made any gains with the jury, I'm sure he lost them when Juan got her to explain on re-direct that they were removed when she had a tumor taken out of her face.
We're loosing a lot without the direct examination of the witnesses. I wonder if this is something that is being done intentionally by the camera crew, or if the Judge ordered it? It just seems intentional.:twocents:

ETA- The guy she was arrested with- "According to Department of Correction records, Cairo just finished a 14-year sentence in maximum security on charges involving his girlfriend's death in 1998. Cairo and his girlfriend were at a traffic stop when she shot at a police officer, who returned fire and killed her." (article linked in Berninas post above).

Can only find 2 "Cairo"s in the ADOC inmate data search, one is 25, and the other IS 57 (under "Edward M.", murder 2), but according to the records, he's still in custody. Wondering if D Cairo was incarcerated in another state.
