On WAT http://www.wildabouttrial.com/one_off/bryan-hulsey-trial-live-stream/ there is a screen cap of the courtroom up which says,

Event has started but is not live
Please wait

WAT had that same message yesterday on the live link 'started but not live' and the 'please wait'...then the spinny circle......
I was hopeful there'd be a stream when it was available, maybe a delay - so I kept it open, just in case....no feed, only the endless spinning circle of false anticipation. Not blaming WAT (except for that false 'circle of hope).
Of course, after I shut down and walked away, I found out there was a feed for 25 minutes or so - not sure if WAT had it, but ...25 minutes...really?
For the trial of a 24YO (my son's age, so maybe it hits closer to home) Officer slain in the line of duty? A trial that is like the longest delayed murder trial in AZ history (IIRC)?
Why'd the networks bother to request a hearing from the court for the right to film it, why go to the trouble and expense, then skip it? I refuse to believe there was more legal merit or justice in other AZ trials, (or anywhere else).
Is it simply less profitable? A fair and public trial is certainly possible without impeding justice, though it might not be an advertising beacon - nor should it be. Wasn't CourtTV once just that - no sensationalism, just trial?
Sorry for venting - my whole point was - don't let that spinning circle fool you!

I really don't understand the lack of coverage by stations that petitioned for the feed to be allowed, very disappointing.
