OT: Israel has started bombing Gaza and just gave the military the ok for a ground assault.
My God, can't these people just knock it off?

And a Malaysian passenger jet with 295 on board is brought down by a missile over Ukraine. Not enough curse words for what's been going on lately.

My :twocents:?
Someone's getting the death penalty.

Holy chit! I got a NYT's breaking news about the crash 30 minutes ago, but nothing said it had been shot down.

Seriously, why can't people just get along?!?!?!

I'm already wondering how long the verdict will take, if I were on the jury it wouldn't be long. 'Course with a guilty verdict we'll then have to go through the aggravation phase and then the penalty phase, a mid-August finish is possible, but then it is Arizona. lol

Juan's got to get this all sewn up so he can get CMJA on death row......but I think this is going to be a "no brainer" for this jury, at least I hope so!

Probably wouldn't have taken more than a month if there hadn't been all the "dark court" days.:shame:

Yeah, with the defense putting on such a short case it should have been done and over with, except for all the time off.

I can't go there, it just gets me worked up.

What has happened to humanity? Respect for human life?
In my 53 years, all any of this does is take the lives of innocents, and military "kids" that don't have a clue about what they're really dying for.

Couldn't agree more, so many die because of the aggressive nature of a few, I grew up in the Viet Nam era also so I guess I've always felt war should be illegal, how dare anyone be allowed to send others to their deaths?

Sorry for the O/T mods, just a really tough day with all of this going on.

Just an observation/comment:
I wish the Holly family had received the attention they deserved for their son, a veteran, and a law enforcement officer.
It's a sad commentary when MSM gives more face time to a 🤬🤬🤬 like CMJA, who contributed nothing positive to society.

My BF (Air Force) of 10 years and his brother (Marine) were both in 'Nam.
His brother is dealing with ailments from Agent Orange, he's 66, both have PTSD, chronic depression, and Panic disorder...........and for what?
The "Domino Theory of Communism"......yeah right.

I wish I could have seen this trial. Lots of grist for the discussion mill. But, from the bits and pieces and based on the opening arguments, the defense was only the Spot Shotter.

As for the DNA, that was a total bust. Even if there had been identifiable DNA on the casings, that would prove nothing more than the bullets were loaded by the owners of the guns.

I will :tantrum: if closing arguments aren't FULLY covered.
