"A Sahuarita man remains missing but police have found his car on rental property he owns in Tucson, Sahuarita Lt. Sam Almodova said.
Richard Stitt, 76, told his wife late Friday morning
he was going to look for his homeless son and when she returned home later that day, he was gone, Almodova said.
When Stitt still wasn’t home by 9:30 a.m. Saturday, his wife reported him missing. According to police reports, Stitt doesn’t have his cell phone and hasn’t used any credit cards.
Stitt’s son, who was located near South Park Avenue and Benson Highway in Tucson, told officers he saw his father Friday afternoon, Almodova said. Officers are working to verify the 40-year-old son’s story, he said.
Stitt’s car was found several miles from Park and Benson Highway in a residential neighborhood."
