The ATM withdrawal was on a Friday. Sidney went missing on Tuesday the 16th. The rent might have been collected that morning of the 16th. JMO

Hope they check out the tenants who gave him the money . From what I am reading - sounds like it was cash which I find odd. Could they have set him up for a robbery to get this rent money back and they made him withdraw more on Friday...but why wait so long?

So the home where he was last seen on Club Street was not his own, but a nearby one owned by his friend Al Blanco.

The vacant home that was burgled was on Hodges Road, it's not one he has listed for sale on his website, it doesn't sound like it had much in it: stove, fridge, carpet and hot water heater.

It just hardly seems worth offing someone for the sake of $2,000 and some major appliances. The perps would have to commit a dozen such crimes just to afford their SUV.

I has been reported that Sid was last seen on Tuesday, June 16.

It was stated in that last article on page 4 that he was at an ATM machine on Friday.

Would that be the Friday before he vanished, or after he vanished ?

If he was seen at an ATM three days after he vanished , that would be a huge development.

I can't tell when reading the article which Friday they are referring to, but his brothers comment makes it sort of sound like it was the one after he supposedly disappeared.

The white SUV and the as#%#%le driving it obviously have a recurring role in all of this.

But one tip may break the investigation wide open. An ATM withdrawal was reportedly made by Sidney Cranston, 40, on Friday in the Kingman area, says Cranston’s brother Chris. “The surveillance photo shows my brother at the ATM and then a white vehicle behind him,” said Chris Cranston. “But something doesn’t look right though.”

This is beginning to sound like a shakedown over a gambling debt or borrowed money.

I think it was the Friday before he went missing. MSM articles all say he hasn't been seen since Tuesday (June 16.) Wondering if the white vehicle seen in the ATM video is the same white vehicle (SUV) he was seen leaving in with clients four days later on the 16th?

I was speculating, if a guy with a lot of assets moves away, is totally involved in a new life and doesn't seem to care what's happening with his stuff, there's a temptation for someone to take advantage of that. Then the person comes back and notices a few things amiss, starts asking questions and seems they could discover what's been going on...rather than be caught, desperate measures are taken. There's been cases like that. Pure speculation.

Sure seems like "someone" has some financial problems. Mr. Cranston has his fair share of court appearances as well. Seems like he could have made quite a few enemies.

I think the picture is starting to become clearer on what's going on here, at least to me it is. Just imagine one of those automobile note lots where "you buy here and pay here". They make loans to people that they know can either barely afford the car or will most likely default on the payments. When the person misses a payment or pays late by a few days, they go and repossess the car. The seller keeps all the down payment money along with any of the regular payments that were made, and then turns around and sells the car again to some other unsuspecting soul.

That same kind of game playing can take place in real estate deals as well, especially when it is an owner finance type situation. If you're one day late on your payment, I keep all the down payment money and take the property away from you. I take 5 grand down from somebody else right after that, and sell it to them. Many times these details are in the fine print that is barely legible on the documents, or worded in such a way that it is impossible to understand. It's a revolving door, and only the seller benefits. The seller knows almost from the outset that he will be taking the property back sooner or later. Unfortunately, this kind of thing is legal.....just barely. It's unethical as hell, but still legal.

If he pulled something like that with the wrong person.....I don't know......say a guy with a really bad temper that thought he was getting flim-flammed by a scam artist with a New York accent...........I could see how things could head south pretty damn quick.

Looking at the number of times he took people to court and sued them............I'd say he tried to take back property from someone that doesn't believe in the court system all that much. Maybe someone decided they at least deserved their down payment back............

I have a better understanding now why his family seemed to be almost resigned to the fact that he was a victim. I can't help but wonder if the perpetrator felt the same way.
