Yes, but there's new legislation that all foreign banks have to report accounts opened by US citizens.
[snip]

What if he had dual citizenship? I don't know if it's okay to link, but there's a profile for him with Mexico as his current location. His business website also says "I am in Mexico."

I'm quite familiar with Mexican residency/citizenship: It takes at least 5 years living in the country before you're eligible to apply to become a Mexican citizen, he hadn't been there that long. Given his investment portfolio, he'd have been eligible for a 1 year visa allowing full-time residence, but that doesn't change citizenship.

I was hoping for some updates. Nothing for days.

I'm so sorry @bellajodella but at this point I fear we are looking for a body. Thank you for all your comments on Sidney, it helps a lot. I think he ran up with someone who wished him harm, and that's what happened.

Update from Sidney's Go Fund Me page.

I want to thank all you for your love, support, & help. We are narrowing down a search area with some reliable information. The search will be in the near future. No date has been set and doesnt appear it will happen over the holiday weekend.
We are pleading for anyone with ATV's, horses, 4x4's, dirt bikes, etc to volunteer in the search. There will be water station(s) and we will need volunteers to help run these as well. Please don not hesitate to ask for fuel reimbursement if the lack of funds is debilitating you ability to help and you have the requested type of transportation. If anyone feels compelled to bring water/ice please do.

The family has also frozen donations as this time. They believe they have raised enough money for what they need.

Hoping they have a good turnout. Certainly seems as if they know they won't be recovering Sidney alive [emoji20]

Any news?

I'm beginning to think this may turn out to be something similar to the case down in Maricopa, Arizona where the couple went missing recently. By similar, I mean the perp's determination and ability to thoroughly hide the crime.

It's the Michael and Tina Careccia case I am referring to, I'm sure a lot of you followed it. After 10 days of searching, they were finally found buried in the backyard of a "friend" of theirs.

Yes - I agree with this completely . In this case, I think someone got upset over a deal gone wrong -or business arrangement. maybe they felt they were being scammed.

Yep and I'd say where his motorcycle was found and phone last pinged would be and is my number one suspect

Dang, I've been away from this thread for a while - was hoping for some news. Glad to see Sid's brother is working with a PI. Can't imagine how tough this is for his family and loved ones.

Not really, there has been several searches but nothing has been found.

Thank you :)

It's a strange one that he has simply vanished and no clues so far .
