Merry Christmas Sylar... 2 of the 3 people that failed you in such horrible ways are now behind bars. Justice is in the new year for you, little angel...

Here we are Nancy a nice new picture of you for Christmas! Couldn't happen to a more deserving custodial grandma! Too busy hiding out and doing drugs to touch up your roots? Plan better next time Mizz Collins!:loser:

these people are so nasty. I am so happy they spent christmas in jail where they belong. Now if they would just release the tox results and cause of death etc. and then put these two under the death penalty it would just make my day! I am not getting why they still have yet to bury this sweet innocent child! I can't believe his family isn't demanding it but then again they let this little tike stay with these drug heads for at least 2 years and never did anything to help him...just so long as they didnt have to take care of him I guess..In my opinion they ALL need to be in jail...the mother CN, her mother YN and the daddy if he even knew Syla existed. None of them cared about this little boy, they just didn't want to be bothered with him.:furious:

Came to check on Sylar. Thank you so much for the updates. I was thinking about him today.

I was thinking of Sylar too. I hope there are further charges added as time passes. RIP SYLAR!

Has anyone seen updates from the courts? I know CP was in court Dec 29, she pled not guilty to her charge of child abuse. They both had another court date, 12/30 - haven't seen anything since.

Yavapai Sheriff's detectives announced the new charges as a result of the ongoing investigation into the death of 2-year-old Sylar Newton. Christina Priem was charged with the one count of child abuse "when done intentionally or knowingly." Her bond was increased from $250,000 to $300,000.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, the child abuse charges involve Sylar's access and apparent ingestion of prescription medication not intended for his use. Sylar was able to access medications and drug containers that were brought to the campground by Priem and Collins. The drug of concern, prescribed to Priem, is used to control seizures and panic attacks. He was given cold and pain medication, according to YCSO.

Witnesses told authorities that Sylar appeared to be under the influence and could barely open his eyes the night he was reported missing. Even though Priem and Collins were advised of his condition, they did not seek medical help. Authorities believe the unintended use of the drugs was a factor in his death.

Authorities also found marijuana that they claim Collins had hidden at the campsite.:loser:

Thanks nursie. I'm not sure I fully believe that Sylar accidently ingested medication that made him sleepy and eventually killed him.

I have no reason to doubt the possible scenario that he was given what was considered a small dose in order to get him to sleep and he ODed that way and died.

I know it has been discussed that addicts won't give up a single pill...etc-etc. yada yada but I think they will if it means that they can party without having a 2 yr old buzzkill pestering them. JMHO. (not calling Sylar those words, just using the words I think might have described their attitude when wanting to party)

All JMHO and may they both rot in hades.

thanks Dr. Know?

I wanted to know the response of Collin's lawyer when asked if could be ready for Feb 1 appearance. The following snipped bit from your link says:

"Michael Shaw represents Nancy Collins. He told the court that there is a significant amount of "discovery" and the case is "complex," which would add time under Arizona's speedy trial rule if the judge agrees.

The judge asked if Shaw would appear Feb. 1 in order to "keep both cases on the same track."

While the judge may have asked we don't know if Shaw offered a yes as an answer.

(Keeping fingers crossed that it does come together on Feb 1)

sorry for the underlining couldn't figure out how to undo it

So benzodiazepines....

More than likely:

Clonazepam - Klonopin (which I believe we have heard they were on before and is generally easier to get.)

or

Diazepam - Valium

I wonder if they were able to prove Sylar ingested that, since it did take so long to find him?

These people are still beyond my comprehension. :waitasec:

I separated my twice operated on shoulder last week which also resulted in the muscles from my neck to my shoulder contracting.

I cannot take pain pills (Lortab, Percocet, etc) because my other medication (an opiate blocker) makes them ineffective.

I could take Klonopin, Valium, muscle relaxants, etc...they don't interact. My doctor has tried to give them to me. But I won't. I just can't do it. I feel like a pill popper if I take them no matter how much I need them. It took me years to agree to Neurontin for the "suicide nerve pain."

I cannot comprehend giving a child such a strong medication... when I consider it to strong to take myself.

I may be in too much pain to sleep... but I'm not on drugs. If a kid has to go to the ER I am able to drive them. There is no chance I am going to end up like Tina or that my children are going to end up like Sylar.

Then again... my mother is an unbelievably efficient pill popper. There is a chance that I'm a bit jaded on this topic.

I agree with your theory on how Sylar got the drugs into his body. I do believe that he was given the drugs so that he would sleep and not interrupt the party. I also hope that they both rot in hades.

After receipt of toxicology results, sheriff's detectives believes that Sylar ingested medication prescribed to Priem for seizures and panic attacks and also was given cold medicine. Witnesses report the child appeared to be under the influence and could barely keep open his eyes the night he is said to have wandered off.

BBM I guess that precludes Sylar's walking out of their tent and wandering away...

In the last report I read it said Sylar had been given cold medicine and pain medication - if at first they didn't succeed (in knocking him out so they could do their own thing) I guess they just kept on trying with Priem's anticonvulsants.

From above link: Priem is also charged with providing her son and a friend with marijuana during the outing.

I thought so, she is a kewl momster - fracking losers, I'm now wondering if she made a habit of sharing or if this was a special occasion. She needed them to sleep through Sylar "wandering away".

Prison is too good for these two - so is death. Torture and life in an underdeveloped country would serve. Of course they may be in Sheriff Joe territory which may suffice. Their Hades would be living in a tent like dwelling without A/C in 100* weather and working in a chain gang - eating "loaf" twice a day. Sounds like Hell to me.
