I rec'd a reply from the funeral home. I asked if money was needed for his burial.
I'm going to edit this reply I rec'd. Sorry.
Due to legal reasons Sylar has not been released from the ME. Money is not an issue, it's the legal system & possible charges etc...that only Sylar can provide.
WTF?
The "next of kin" said he had been released.
I can see not releasing him because what if the defense wants to do another autopsy?
At that point... you just do a funeral anyway. Then, you can have a private service once you get the body. Look at the families who never find the body.
Haven't rec'd a reply from any news people I've contacted.
Sadly, I can write a news reporter in a different state and get some type of reply, but in my state not even a reply about Sylar. grrrr
I will contact my Aunt and Uncle to ask them if they have any tips on who to contact and how to get a response.
Normally I would just ask them to pick up the phone and call, because they could get an interview set up in a few hours.
However, these people offered a completely free funeral, urn, headstone, even a place to stay...
everything... and it just wasn't good enough.
After seeing the fund raising and knowing there was no need for it, I don't completely trust what they would say if they contacted a reporter directly. They wouldn't say they offered this... but they might say someone did and they might give their *ahem* colorful opinion of the situation.
They just did another free funeral for a 2 year old boy who died accidentally... even though the funeral was 45 minutes from where most of the family lived... and his adopted and biological parents couldn't thank them enough. They were unbelievably grateful. My Aunt and Uncle pointed out the stark contrast between the two situations. It brought up Sylar all over again for them.
