Here, OBE, i found the link for you:

"The victims' co-workers, friends and family told detectives that the two men recently had been involved in minor disputes with colleagues at a nearby power plant and with men at a local bar.
• Police in San Carlos, where Romans grew up, told St. Johns investigators that he had a prior drug arrest and was suspected of minor drug dealing. Friends of Romans told St. Johns police that he was getting a divorce."

Thank you. I had been trying to google it but wasn't having any luck.

But from the part that you excerpt it seemed to be more of verbal exchanges since it says "minor disputes." LOL Heck the minor disputes in the bar may have been because they were talking politics. That can get heated sometimes for sure.

Your welcome OBE.
True, it could have been heated debates.. especially if alcohol is involved..

If anyone has the links for the court & police reports that are pdf files to read; can they repost them? I'm going to download the adobe acrobat reader.

According to PD documents, On Wed. 5 Nov 08 in St. Johns;

4:45pm A neighbor arrived home and did not hear or see anything unusual. Mr.___ lives across the street in a westerly direction from the Romero home.
4:52pm Mrs. Romans begins phone conversation with her husband.
5:00pm? 911 call is received. The caller gives his address and tells the operator that there is a body on the front porch of his neighbors house and that the front door is open. He also says, "the little boy who lives there is here with me."
5:06pm Sgt. Rodriguez arrives at scene. Mr. Davis (911 caller?), his teenage son, and the 8 year old accused were there.

This time line allows the kid 5 minutes to shoot Mr. Roman's six times, reload his rifle (the gun was found with an unspent cartridge in the chamber), lay the weapon on the dog cage, run to a neighbors house to report that he'd found the bodies, wait while his story was confirmed. Then call 911. If Tonya and Timothy Romans spoke only for 2 minutes then add a minute to the total time.

Seems quite a feat for an 8 year old to me.

Well I hadn't even allowed him that much time so I sure think now it was certainly doable.

But the main thing it is going to show is his inconsistencies in his confession.

He couldn't have been inside with his father's body for 30 minutes...not even 5 minutes imo.

He was at the neighbors house within minutes of the shootings.

Imo they have him boxed in. The unknown murderer had to flee and yet he saw no one running out of the home. He says he already sees Tim there and then finds his father on the stairway already with his face covered in blood. That does not compute with what he told them that after then is when he shot his father twice to end his suffering. The only way VR would already have blood on his face is he was already shot in the head and most likely dead and then the boy nudged him with the toe of his shoe to see if he was dead.

I have always felt they had a tight time line of known events. Not one neighbor sees any stranger in the neighborhood. The only one that can be placed in that home other than VR and TRs is the defendant.

Not one neighbor saw the boy shoot Mr. Romans outside either (guess they didn't look out the window when the shots were heard). The confession doesn't matter. He told more than one tale, didn't he. Which tale should we believe?

It does seem quite the feat for an 8 year old. He'd have to know exactly where to shoot them to make sure they were dead.

It was in a news article early on. I am sure if you Google, you will find it as I did early on in this case.

OL, they are your words... stepmom was the first to point the finger at the boy. I really don't think you can back them up. I have followed this case from the begining and I think you are wrong. If you stand by your words show the link.
