I don't think that LE knew there was a gun involved yet when they searched the MS house.
How would they have?

They had the truck by that point and had found the shell in the vehicle. I think by the time they went after MS, they knew a gun was involved.

Wonder if defence lawyers read this stuff.

Coming from a family with a surfeit of lawyers, I can assure you with confidence: No.

Mostly, because they haven't got that kind of time. But also, because it doesn't matter what anonymous members of the public think: it matters what the jury thinks. And that will be guided overwhelmingly by the quality of the case presented in court, and the guidance of the judge.

And AM and MM...

From what I remember, MM seemed pretty forthright in speaking to police and telling what she knew, from the first time she was brought in for questioning. AM however, is a completely opposite story.

Let's not forget 'Rabbit'. Must've taken a lot to have such blind eyes.

They're all "sketchy". Who knows what the "real truth" is.

As Robert Burns stated on the stand. "He's my sister's son. Biologically, I am his uncle." No doubt in my mind that he must have told Rabbit a story or two about her son over the years. MOO

MM had her share of amnesia like the rest of them. Smich is telling his cigarette buddies his business, yet not his girlfriend? Remember, she begged MS not to go on the TB mission. Why? He’d been on countless missions before. She knew.

To do that they will need evidence that it was actually used on LB. Otherwise the Eliminator is just a incinerator at that point in time.

So far they only have some photos and a Rap song to link the eliminator. I believe we will see some solid evidence that ties the Eliminator to LB's disappearance. After the TB trial, most of us know why it was purchased. IMO

There are some pretty damning texts, photos and internet searches that ought to help tie it all together.

Thanks to all that can help with the tweets.

This thread will close once the proceedings begin.

Good morning, week three at the Laura Babcock murder trial is about to get underway. Justice Michael Code has told us to expect another eight witnesses over the next few days.

Last week we heard from three police officers who carried out a couple of searches at co-accused Mark Smich's home.
