Okay - I got it now...The defense angle, what the team is going for...They are going to check for the "touch" DNA (with the dutch folks) - Looking for Kronk's and then say he kidnapped/molested/killed her.

With KC permitting Caylee to sleep in bed with her latest and greatest bf's what exactly could it prove???? If you are in bed with someone and sexually active a child could easily get DNA on her clothes from the bed. Plus if there is NO DNA from Caylee whatsoever from the remains site I would not expect to find anyone else's unless they handled the remains after they were found. jmo

I don't think Judge Perry will allow much more delay...he has made it very clear he wants the lawyers to stick to deadlines(even though he has shown patience and given extentions) that this case will go to trial in May and the that the lawyers should expect to work long days on weekends..

It seems Perry has to micromanage this case to make sure all parties (IMO specifically the Defense-Baez) are doing the work they should be doing..preparing for trial and finish by the deadline dates he has given in order for this trial to start in May 2011.

I just finished listening to the videos of the hearing and all I can say is WTH is Baez doing? If I were Casey I would be very concerned about Mr Baez and his lack of preparation. Does he understand someone's life hangs in the balance? Judge Perry shouldn't have to micromanage this case and I have to commend him for holding his tongue and not going off on Baez, because that man definitely has it coming to him.

Casey Anthony should be afraid, VERY AFRAID with Baez at the helm. She is on a sinking ship and doesn't even know it. But, I really don't care, as long as there is justice for CAYLEE!

As to Casey wanting to be there for the depositions, I'm assuming it is only the depo of the former prison guard, is that right? She wouldn't have any right to be at the ones for Maya or Robin as she knows what they look like after the hair braiding etc. Thus Casey and Baez would be forcing the former prison guard to return to a place she is no longer employed at - can't imagine she would be happy about that. I think and hope she gets or has legal representation. I don't know if JPerry would play along with this game anyway. I'm thinking he wouldn't but he does seem to give them some latitude.

After sitting under water for 6 mos. I will be surprised if there is any DNA at all, on anything; after all that nice sticky duct tape held no answers - not even that of sweet Caylee.

But we can hope, can't we, that ICA left behind her own personal calling card - DNA unique to her and worth another nail in her coffin!

I liked it when Judge P said that also, and this time it was to reinforce something the Defense must do, and not just something that the Judge was giving the Defense lenience on.
Judge P. told the Defense that death is different and they MUST take the extra step of having Inmate Anthony sign the STIPULATIONS which Ashton prepared (or will prepare), in order to send the State's evidence of entomology, hair, and the laundry bag and shorts to Defense experts out of the State of Florida.
JB seemed to be resisting having Inmate Anthony sign those STIPULATIONS (not sure why the resistance?).

Do you really think he is? To me he is someone who never learned social skills, never learned the normal rules of the road, and hasn't learned any of the rules and regulations of his profession. To me he doesn't know and even worse, he doesn't care. He seems to think he is privileged - which to him means he can do as he likes.

He's a bit like a billy goat someone cut free to wander the streets of New York - a little garbage here, but that person over there, wander across traffic here and cause screaming brakes and traffic jams - just no idea what is actually going on.

I just can't comprehend how someone's fantasy about who they are, and their reality of who they actually are and in what light they are viewed by others. Does this man not even have an inkling what a dufus people think he is? Seriously.....

As far as he can push it without HHJP having cause to take action ... HHJP has to afford the Defense more wiggle room since it is a DP case and JB is playing that for all he is worth.

The more he drags this out the better chance they come up with a Defense and the more people forget. If they had any decent Defense right now then they'd be rushing it to trial. So they are still looking......

Bolded by me above--I know that's what they are hoping for, but dangit, if JB et al can't come up with a plausible defense in a year and a half, maybe they should be having more come-to-Jesus talks with their defendant (or be looking into careers that don't require effort, research, investigation, planning, timeliness, professionalism... sorry, I digress)

Some 'creative thinking' has been injected since CM joined the team, either from CM or via his 'old boy network' he taps into as an extended defense.

It is likely that JB/CM want real-time feedback from ICA on reaction and where to probe further, etc. They may want ICA to help them open a door to the 'funky' stuff so that they can malign the jail staff as well as SA, LE, FBI, Oak Ridge, etc.

The Defense are going to respond to every witness by attacking background, credibility, experience, methods and procedures, etc. IMO. They are playing a Poor ICA defense who cannot get a fair trial because she is 'special', a celebrity.
