Sins of the Father by Sun-Herald journalist Eamonn Duff adds myriad details to the circumstances surrounding ...

Eamonn Duff
Unable to provide link that works, but the interview with Eamonn Duff is interesting.
Along with the photographs of Malcolm McCauley ... Plus his interview
Along with looking into Michael Corby and his modus operandi...
Along with understanding something of the family ....
(Family of SG comes to mind a fair bit here, together with their courting of the media)
All starting to make perfect sense ...

A member of the Bali Nine says he is "angry" with the Corbys for their handling of Schapelle's first weeks of freedom saying it could work against Australians imprisoned in Indonesia.
While Mercedes' interview may have imperilled Schapelle's parole, Stephens claims it could also hurt his chances of a sentence reduction.
He also claims inmates from other foreign countries are complaining that the Corbys had "sold out all foreigners in the Indonesian system, not just me".

Ahhh, maybe this is why the interview with Renee has surfaced now? Good for them, taking matters into their own hands (if true), the Corby's have done enough damage.

This week the 32-year-old was among a group of drug suspects paraded by police in Denpasar, wearing orange suspect overalls and balaclavas on their heads. At the time his face was covered, he was not named and police gave only the initials BPS

He was arrested under the name Bernard P Simanjuntak. This is his full name but he shortens the first name to Ben and his second name is Panangian. He is from the Indonesian province of Sumatra.

Some in the community have questioned the arrest and whether it may have been a set up, given Panangian’s profile since becoming the lover of Corby.

Set ups of drug arrests are not uncommon in Bali.

His arrest is not good news for Corby, who must, as part of her parole conditions, stay away from anything to do with drugs or crime.

Schapelle Corby's clemency hurts death row Bali nine pair's legal challenge

The last-ditch legal appeal of Bali nine death row inmates Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan will have to overcome an obstacle created by a case involving another famous Australian drug smuggler - Schapelle Corby.

"Clemency is a decision made by the president as a head of state," he said. "It can't be challenged in any court. I did tried to challenged the clemency given to Schapelle Corby. The administrative court rejected the case because it was not an administrative decision, therefore it is not within their jurisdiction."

Corby's clemency, which allowed her to serve the rest of her sentence outside prison in Bali until she is permitted to return home in 2017, also hurt Chan and Sukumaran because it generated a firestorm of public hostility against foreign drug traffickers.

Corby was arrested in 2004 for attempting to smuggle 4 kilograms of marijuana through Denpasar airport. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Intervention on Corby may rule out Bali nine duo's chance at clemency

The likelihood an Indonesian court might be able to stay the execution of the two Bali Nine death row inmates hinges on a decision made in the freeing of convicted Australian drug smuggler Schapelle Corby.

In one of the last attempts at avoiding execution, lawyers representing convicted drug traffickers Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran will attempt to convince judges to overturn a previous ruling made in Corby's clemency appeal that found presidential decrees cannot be overruled by the court system.

Lawyers representing the pair will need to convince judges to go against a 2012 ruling that led to Corby being freed from prison to serve a reduced 20-year sentence outside of prison in the Balinese community.

Corby was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being caught in 2004 attempting to smuggle 4kg of marijuana into Bali from Australia.

SHAPELLE CORBY OUT PARTYING ON PAROLE

Schapelle Corby has been spotted out partying in Bali despite being on strict parole. As a part of the 37-year-old's release conditions she is required to stay in indonesia until 2017.
Schapelle was seen with her sister Mercedes at Sky Garden, a popular clubbing spot in Kuta. They can be seen drinking alcohol and dancing with friends.

It also appears that the sisters were out partying with disgraced former NRL star Todd Carney. Carney was sacked from his team after a photo was leaked on social media of him urinating into his own mouth.

I'm so ashamed of myself for believing this con artist was innocent. She has done absolutely nothing since her release to prove otherwise.

Is that like the pregnancy rumours? (longest pregnancy in history)
Personally I would not get too inflamed by any reports that are written, slow news day, deflection, bitterness?

Oh spare us. Will we see Mercedes screaming like a banchee at the reporters or will the Feds protect us of the pain. I sincerely don't want any of that family making money from this. They will somehow.

Mercedes Corby flies to Bali to bring Schapelle home

On May 27, the convicted Gold Coast drug smuggler will have officially served her sentence and be free to return to Australia for the first time since October 2004.

Now 39, Schapelle Corby has been spending her remaining time living a modest life near the island’s popular beaches.
She has been spending time getting fit and avoiding anything that may compromise her freedom including conditions such as avoiding the media and regularly presenting herself to police.
She will report to the parole office and have authorities sign her log book one last time, signifying the end of her sentence.
A new passport, organised by the Australian consulate given the expiration of her previous one, will be arranged and she will be deported on a direct flight to Queensland.
9NEWS has been told Australian Federal Police officers will need to be in attendance at Brisbane Airport to shield Schapelle and the Corby family through the terminal.

Whenever she goes to the beach to swim, snorkel or sunbake, Luna is never far away on the beach with her.

Corby will leave Bali on May 27 when her 15-year drug smuggling sentence expires, after signing parole for the last time.
She will be deported by Indonesian Immigration authorities and banned from returning for an unknown period of time, but at least six months.

[h=1]Schapelle Corby to make thousands on return to Australia[/h]Schapelle Corby, who will be deported to Australia after her parole expires on May 27, will have the opportunity to make hundreds of thousands of dollars within weeks of her return to home soil.
According to celebrity publicist Max Markson, the convicted drug smuggler will likely be inundated with paid offers - among them, reality TV show appearances and invitations to attend events such as The Melbourne Cup.
“There's probably a few hundred grand generated for her the first few weeks she's back, and there'll be more (money) later on too,” Mr Markson told 3AW yesterday.
“There'll be some companies that don't want to have a bar of her, and there'll be others that are interested.”
He added: “She'll be controversial.”
Mr Markson explained that Corby has created a “brand” for herself after nine years in Bali’s Kerobokan Prison.
