The very last police report details the recent disorderly conduct arrest of TS.

HM's birth date appears to be erased from the reports, as far as I can see.

I believe the $500,000 was eventually awarded to Sheila in June 2011.

Great work here from everyone getting the facts. We'll probably end up with more accurate info than the media.

I'm too tired to look up dates, but when Sheila married her husband she moved into his home that he had lived in with a former wife. Sheila sold that big house for $650,000. I believe he left her the house, and not the condo she moved into a year or two ago.

Sheila was 62 yrs. old. She was going to need some money for retirement. The father probably left some of his settlement money for Heather's college education and for a good life in years to come. I'm sure he would be very sad and disappointed in how this all turned out.

In 2012, he had a simple assault conviction and was sentenced to court supervision. He also has busts for drug and alcohol related offenses, but no charges.

She was a volunteer at an Aids clinic in Ann Arbor and was in Africa furthering her education in Aids treatment. This particular matricide killing does not appear to involve abuse or violence on the part of the mother (or the deceased father). I would venture to say that the murdering offspring in this case is a bad seed, a sociopathic, narcissistic personality. US teen and boyfriend on suicide watch after Bali suitcase murder arrest

Reuters reported that the murdered woman’s daughter Heather Mack, 19, and her boyfriend Tommy Schaefer, 21, were depressed after they were detained and both were on suicide watch.


Police say they have strong evidence against the detained pair, and the FBI has sent an agent to join the probe.

Under the Indonesian legal system, they will not be formally charged until they appear in court at the start of a trial.

How in the world did he go from dating someone like Rachel, to someone like Heather?

I don't remember what time Sheila was discovered. I know it was 2 hours after the suitcase was left in the taxi. They say she was killed 12-14 hours prior to the discovery of her body.

I believe the reports stated it was around 11am when the trolly w/that suitcase and, at least, TS walking beside it and was seen on hotel video surveillance going through the lobby.

Reports have said the taxi driver waited 2 hours for them to return to the car before discovering the bloody sheet wrapped suitcase in trunk then driving to police. So that would put the time at around 1pm. But when did the ME see the body?

TS was reported to have arrived at St Regis after midnight, so early Tues am. And, argument between the three of them on video presumably thereafter.

You know, I can;t stop thinking about this poor lady. I feel she really tried with her daughter. Whether it was oppositional defiant disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, conduct disorder, spoiled into delusion disorder, whatever it was, pr they say it was, perhaps her mom made mistakes, but I think she tried very very hard to keep her daughter calm, happy and safe...and was met with "attitude". The kind that breaks arms.

I feel it was such a lonely, pathetic death - betrayed by her own kid, by the very person she tried so hard for so long to help and make happy.

I just keep thinking about how sad it is. How this lady had no one, no husband, no partner, to help her weather the storm and deal with her monster daughter and how she probably suffered so much, alone, over the years, trying to placate this witch.

And then, she tries once more to have a special moment to make her brat happy and have a special vacation with her. And instead she faces her vicious daughter murdering her, bludgeoning her to death. Can you imagine the shock, the fear and the resignation? Can you imagine the loneliness of this woman screaming out, "why", to her closest relative, her own child, and then screaming for help from someone, anyone, but not getting any?

I'm really saddened by this crime and feeling such hatred toward those who did this. Poor, poor lady. Vulnerable and alone. I don;t care what "disorder" they come up with, I feel Sheila was simply an on-going victim of domestic violence and greed and ultimately died trying to maintian a relationship with her abuser.

I agree, Mrs Mack was a better parent than I am. My child fist fighting me, CPS would have me in jail after that first call to police let alone some 80plus more. Jmo
