I trust Sheila was flown home in a coffin and not stuffed in the suitcase???

  • #482
But does that mean that she knowingly paid for his flight ... or that she discovered she paid for his flight after he arrived? HM seemed to have no issue with putting unauthorised purchases on her mum's credit card.

And thinking about it further ... if Sheila knew he was coming, wouldn't they have figured out the payment arrangements for his room prior to him arriving?

And, why did he arrive at the St Regis reportedly after midnight?

What time do flights from Chicago typically arrive on Bali?

Any indication of airline any of them traveled on? Perhaps on the luggage tags?

Looking quickly at flights from Chicago to Denpasar ... Korean Air (cheap flights) arrives at Denpasar a few minutes after midnight (regualr flight).

Cathay Pacific (very expensive flights) arrives at Denpasar from mid to late arvo, depending on flight.

However, there are other airlines that fly there too.

Thur, 8/7/14 HM posted on Instagram a photo she presumably took from the window of their hotel ... accompanied by the caption: "i refuse to let someone say what i can do, gettin (sic) money my attitude you know what it do #bali," the MailOnline reports."

Do you guys interpret her instagram as something like this: "Nobody is going to tell me what to do and I'm going to get my money no matter what. You know what happens when I don't get my way." I don't know why I've been struggling trying to figure it out.

I too have struggled to understand it. I think it means precisely what you just said! But maybe someone else is more certain of that than me.........

That's pretty much how I could interpret it.

I'd probably just add a few nuh-uhs, finger waggins and some snotty finger snap snaps! :giggle:

Oh, and I forgot all the head and hip movements but I think you get the picture! :D

Interesting deduction Quester. Very interesting.

I'm still wondering where on earth they got the duck tape to duck tape Sheila up with? If they brought it with them, or bought it earlier that day or the day before, would definately, show premeditation.

Don't know how much money Heather would stand to inherit, but apparently quite a lot? Very interesting theory.

Although you can buy duck tape any place, don't know if they had time or would have thought to run to a store. We keep a small roll in our suitcase for emergencies example a rip in the bag or faulty zipper or latch. Good old duck tape got us home several times. Maybe Mrs Mack carried some. These two were good at stealing maybe took from service cart.

Just the thought of Heather taping her mothers limbs.. I hope they feed her fish heads. Jmo

ciao

Mom Dead and out of the way, she could get her hands on the money.
Millions of dollars-from news reports.
I am thinking, that Heather masterminded her Mother's death, more, then it being an act of rage.

I think, everything that went on in Bali, was about the money.

Heather thought she was entitled to the money, Mom was trying to control her via her lock on the money.

If you believe, the Bali press, that Heather and her new boyfriend, stuffed her mother Sheila, naked into a piece of luggage that required her Mom's naked body positioned in such a way, that her legs were wrapped around her head... which I do believe...
Then both Heather and her boyfriend deserve the death penalty.

I think that this was a callous and cold murder. All, about money. All about money!

I think that Heather has ice water running through her 21 year old veins.

I'm so happy that this __________ decided to kill her Mother in Bali, instead of the United States.

I know this sounds mean, but I can hardly wait for Heather's next accusations of mistreatment in her jail cell.

But. WAIT FOR THIS!
HAS Heather, expressed even 1 minute of concern about her Mother? No. She's been too worried about fried chicken.

This person... Is so dumb, she cannot even pretend, that she is upset about her own Mother's vicious murder, then horrific discard of her Mother's body. Nope. No crying over her Mum, just complaining about the "racist" food the Bali jail keepers have the nerve to feed her.

At the very least. I hope she never gets fried chicken or McDonalds for the rest of her sorry life. Firing Squad for this person? I have no problem with that. Imo.

True, and include the doctor bills for broken bones caused by Heather beating up on her own mother. However, there may have been resentment that Sheila took control of money left for Heather. I imagine Heather was aware her trust fund shifted ownership.

I bet Heather felt entitled to that money. She may have felt her mother stole the money that the father left for her and she had to testify in that law suit from what I read in another article.

All said and done, there wasn't all that much money or wealth, not really rich, IMO.

....my attitude you know what it do.

The couple were arrested the following day as they tried to leave the hotel. But the relationship between the mother and daughter was a troubled and often violent affair, which included broken bones and constant threats from the daughter, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Police documents reveal Ms Mack repeatedly bit her mother, imprisoned her in her room and on one occasion broke her arm by pushing her to the ground.

Ms Mack told her widowed mother at one point she would start hitting her in the head in order to "stop leaving bruises", one police report states.

IMO, HM is the killer and she enjoyed doing it. Her bf was the clean up guy and someone who could carry the suitcase. jmo

.

Oh, good point!

You know, I can;t stop thinking about this poor lady. I feel she really tried with her daughter. Whether it was oppositional defiant disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, conduct disorder, spoiled into delusion disorder, whatever it was, pr they say it was, perhaps her mom made mistakes, but I think she tried very very hard to keep her daughter calm, happy and safe...and was met with "attitude". The kind that breaks arms.

I feel it was such a lonely, pathetic death - betrayed by her own kid, by the very person she tried so hard for so long to help and make happy.

I just keep thinking about how sad it is. How this lady had no one, no husband, no partner, to help her weather the storm and deal with her monster daughter and how she probably suffered so much, alone, over the years, trying to placate this witch.

And then, she tries once more to have a special moment to make her brat happy and have a special vacation with her. And instead she faces her vicious daughter murdering her, bludgeoning her to death. Can you imagine the shock, the fear and the resignation? Can you imagine the loneliness of this woman screaming out, "why", to her closest relative, her own child, and then screaming for help from someone, anyone, but not getting any?

I'm really saddened by this crime and feeling such hatred toward those who did this. Poor, poor lady. Vulnerable and alone. I don;t care what "disorder" they come up with, I feel Sheila was simply an on-going victim of domestic violence and greed and ultimately died trying to maintian a relationship with her abuser.

Thank You so much, Quester. :blowkiss:

Woman found dead in Bali got $840,000 in a cruise line settlement
http://www.suntimes.com/29354459-76...in-a-cruise-line-settlement.html#.U_Pqt8J0wyE

"Sheila von Wiese-Mack immediately netted $340,667 after legal fees for her share of the settlement, according to court records."

"But another $500,000 went to James Mack’s estate."

"James Mack signed his will five days before his death, records show. And in it, he said it was intended “only to provide for Heather Mack, my child, and for no other children.” At the time, Mack was age 10."

"But in June 2011, a judge authorized von Wiese-Mack, the executor of her husband’s estate, to pay herself the remaining $500,000 as the estate’s “sole beneficiary.”

Jumping off that article , I'm wondering if Heather turned 18 just recently and was due her inheritance. Is that feasible?
That would explain the 'you can pay for his room' argument put up by Sheila - teaching the girl to take responsibility for her own expenses plus TS's claims to coming into a heap of money.

Was there anything on social media about that party a couple of weeks earlier being her birthday celebrations?

Maybe Sheila took Heather away on a holiday overseas each year as a birthday present.

What self respecting 21 yr old young '''man''' expects to have women pay his way???

  • #494
I don't know her birth date, but . . .

It was his birthday in July. He mentioned it on social media and I think I saw it when he was showing off his new ID. Guessing they were celebrating his birthday on her Mom's credit card.

It's not something I'm impressed by, but young men who offer themselves as escorts online and say "pick me" generally expect women to pay their way. Remember the $50 an hour fee?

Perhaps Seminyak/Kuta was just a stop on their itinerary.

Yes, it was their first stop, IIRC. But no mention of mother-daughter behavior during this time? Just thought someone would be developing a timeline over there. It appears we're at the mercy of foreign reporting.

bbm: I am sure she had good reason for that with all of the extra expenses incurred for legal fees, counselling etc -- glad she got control of it --

Heather was 16 yrs. old in 2011 when her mother took control of the $500,000 with good reason. Heather was out of control early on, and it seems the girl's violence towards her mother only escalated. The dates are just interesting to try to connect the money and the attacks on her mother. I definitely think Heather wanted "her" money, and felt entitled to that money to the point she went to Bali with an attitude about getting money. Hopefully, there will be no way she will get any of that money to use to pay a defense team for the murder of her mother.

Oak Park police reports describe girl biting and punching mom who was later killed in Bali
http://www.suntimes.com/photos/gall...mom-who-was-later-killed-in.html#.U_Q9qcJ0zgg

"She claimed the girl punched her in her already broken ankle during an argument in January 2010 over household chores."

"Police did arrest Heather Mack after she allegedly pushed her mother in the chest, knocked her to the floor and broke her right arm in January 2011, records show."

"But two years after her arm was broken, von Wiese-Mack refused to let police take pictures of a bite mark on her right wrist because she did not believe “Heather going to jail” would help the situation."

There is a 46sec video at this link of Sheila's coffin leaving the morgue, enroute to the airport. Thankfully, she left the morgue in a much more dignified fashion than her daughter left her in - stuffed into a suitcase. Sheila is being transported in a padded coffin to Chicago, and the vehicle had its sirens sounding out as they departed the morgue.

Mack’s coffin left Sanglah Hospital in Bali’s capital Denpasar at 4:30 p.m. local time (5:30 a.m. ET) and was escorted to the city’s airport by an FBI vehicle, Police Forensic Chief Dudut Rustiyadi told NBC News. The body was due to fly to Singapore on a Korean Air jet at 1:45 a.m. local time on Wednesday (2.45 p.m. ET on Tuesday) and from there to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

"Sheila Von Weise-Mack was murdered when she was standing, hit by a blunt object, it could be an ashtray or flower vase that was found at the crime scene. The body was found 12 - 14 hours after it happened," said Dr. Dudut Rustyad, head of the police forensic team at Sanglah hospital morgue in Denpasar.

The autopsy found that breaks in von Wiese-Mack's neck and nose extended to her upper right and left jaws, causing respiratory disorders. It also showed hand wounds suggesting she was trying to fend off an attack.

"We also found blood aspiration, which meant the victim was standing when assaulted," Alit said. "The conclusion is that the victim suffocated from lack of oxygen because of influx of blood from the broken nose bone."

I don't remember what time Sheila was discovered. I know it was 2 hours after the suitcase was left in the taxi. They say she was killed 12-14 hours prior to the discovery of her body.
