How I see it -- Tommy looks only half there in many of the recent pictures. I think he's more scared and not being treated as well. Heather looks in full control and like the dominant one in their relationship. She's actually posing for those pictures, directing the look, and she uses her hands on him. (much like Jodi)

IMO, she had all the power and responsibility of getting her mother killed and in a suitcase. It certainly wasn't Sheila's plan to get Tommy there to kill him, as she didn't expect Tommy to show up. Heather was in control of what was going to happen, IMO.

In those pics, she looked like she was "pawing" on him, like reassuring him it's all going to work out. Won't she be surprised if they both get the DP.

They set up a fundraising website for baby stella similar to the one TS had.

These people are shameless.

Ugh and shameless is right!

They really should have included the following photos on the new baby prison fundraising site instead of a photo of HM when she was, what, 10 years old. JMHO

I believe it was reported they had after-killing-sex once the doing away with her Mom was completed, and they went to another hotel and had sex. Then, I guess, they had lots of after-killing and after-sex cigarettes, and Heather looks happy about it.

I'd donate to a "Help Baby Stella Get OUT of Prison Effective at Age One Day Old, Permanently Away From her Criminal Parents, and Legally Adopted Fund".

Otherwise, bite rocks and enjoy rice HM & TS!

 Me, too! I'm all for parents staying in the prison, but No Prison Sentence for Baby Stella!

I must be a bad person because I'm so offended by this.

I think that the Indonesians might be pretty offended by it too. Their food isn't good enough for the baby? It is what the Indonesian babies live and thrive on.

And as for HM's pre-natal care, how much does a bunch of bok choy and some chicken wings cost? (Plus $5 or $10 a week for 3 months for someone to deliver it ... a small fortune for them.) That is what their normal healthy women live on, along with the rice, and the odd mango or two. Does that cost $15,000? :shakehead:

If that baby-lawyer really wanted the best for the baby, she would be petitioning for the baby to never spend a single moment in that prison once she is born.

South Aussie, I couldn't agree more. Heather's crack legal team is making it seem like the only two options here are 1) baby starves / suffers malnourishment in prison with mom, or 2) good people donate money to support the baby's needs. What's wrong with putting this child up for adoption?

RR0004, like you, I could not be more offended by their request for money in the name of charity. To call it Christian charity is beyond offensive to me. While I agree that the child is blameless and shouldn't suffer because of her mothers actions, I think that if there is charity to be had here, it should start with HM. Instead of pandering to others for their Christian generosity, perhaps HM should consider her own "Christian" obligation to do what is in the best interests of this child and put it up for adoption. Instead, she is a selfish murderer who is going to manipulate this situation to her benefit. R-E-V-O-L-T-I-N-G!!!

Isn't it time for the relevant US Dept to step in? Do they even know that an innocent US baby is going to be born into a prison society to live among what is deemed to be some of the worst kind of criminals, and that the mother intends to keep her there? And that a US lawyer and a 'Christian Legal Fund' are both supporting her in this insane enterprise?

I wonder if the Consulate is obliged to inform the relevant authorities. Surely in their capacity to watch out for the welfare of US citizens overseas they would have great concerns for the baby's intended living environment.

These lawyers are offensive and I hope some of their fellow brethren let them know just that within the informal peer scrutiny that is practiced in legal circles. So this tells me (at least in my mind) that they are not being paid and have yet to find a funding source, ie; get to Shelia Mack's money and secondly they are going to so deeply invest their firm in this case they will have some basis, even the weakest basis upon which they could petition a court for payment for services rendered from some source ie; get to Sheila Mack's money. While I am pretty sure this will be some perverted form of a test case due to the Indonesia jurisdiction, they certainly are doing the most to reach a funding source ie; get to Sheila Mack's money. I hope the Indonesian peoples are offended as well and this all backfires on these two and their client.

IMO, HM is being well cared for and there has been nothing to suggest that the diet the baby will be fed, that is after HM breastfeeds her will not be adequate or healthy. As for the prison environment I suspect I will be in the minority here when I say that aspect concerns me the least. If you are familiar with some of the US penal system programs that have prison nurseries and facilitate the bonding and secure attachment for the babies, they have a very good track record. If you have ever worked in or visited prisons, yes, it is a different place but probably not of the stereotypes that many are imagining and espousing in the comments of the article. Babies born and cared for in prisons elicit a hyper-level of compassion and protection both from the authorities and the inmates alike and generally results in a strong sense of community and functions as one within prison society. I think there will be enough checks in place just as with HM, to insure the baby is not harmed nor do I think she would be harmed by the physical environment. Is it one that any of us would choose for ourselves, of course not. But babies are born under much worse circumstances and thrive, HM put herself where she is and while morally I can object to her being allowed to raising her child initially, it is what it is, she is pregnant and this is what their penal system allows. HM is not the first killer to give birth nor will she be the last and at this point, as much as it pains me to point it out, she has not been convicted of any offense to date, and that is a fact. Morally I'd love to see she and TS give this child up right after birth to a good unrelated family far, far away from her birth relatives but that is not going to happen because she is worth too much to many of the current players or at least to HM, she is pretty much her ace in the hole or saving grace as it were.

That is what offends me the most, none of this is about the baby really, not a bit. If not for Sheila Mack's money, we would not even know the names of Elkin and his sidekick and we'd have probably heard even less of the case than we have so far. The appeal for charity by them under the guise of being the saviors of the fetus at this point makes me want to puke and that's the mildest reaction I have. Furthermore, I am completely aghast that in general Sheila Mack has been relegated at this point to the position of least importance with justice running a close second in this case

Not much else to say in regards to the overall offensive nature of that article.

I think the article makes it pretty clear that, as we expected, HM has been receiving help with food, clothing and other essentials via these lawyers paying a pittance to a local. They want more money because HM has moved and whomever has been helping them out can't drive to the prison as often or at all. So they need to find someone else or pay this person(s) more. And it's starting to take a chunk out of their pocket so they are hoping for some relief until, as gracehatter has stated, they can get at SWM's money.

Nowhere in that article does it indicate that TS is even a consideration here. I can't believe how HM has manipulated herself into the best possible position and left TS in the dust. And now that they are in Kerobokan together, she's likely manipulating TS again as well.

Anyone have any ideas who may have been in that picture on the other side of HM that was cut out for publication of this picture? And can that "lawyer's" shirt get any lower? LOL

I read up on babies in prison last night and it seems many lawyers find it violates the baby's 14th amendment rights. (Due process and equal protection under the law). The baby is effectively getting a prison sentence and she hasn't done anything.

Also, with similar situations one baby nearly died because she needed emergency care and the jail wouldn't bring the baby to the hospital because the baby wasn't an inmate in the system, and they felt legally there were safety issues with taking responsibily for the baby and transferring her to a hospital.
