I thought from Nadushka's IG pictures (and her mother's) that she's well-off - even if all the bags and shoes are knock-offs. She deleted most of her Hotel K photos and posts after the Daily Mail article, but later she posted one odd 'in memory of' kind of post about her and HM being two millionairesses who had lost so much. I thought Nadushka was released and it was kind of a farewell post to HM.

When she posts new shoes or bags or herself in posh settings, it's a reminder to HM that she (HM) once posted similar photos of herself in fancy clothes and posh settings, until she decided to get greedy.

HM's cozy relationship with the new head of the women's prison is concerning. I can see her playing up the 'grieving mother' role and getting special outside visits with Stella - or even playing the 'mental health' card and getting a 'vacation' like Schappelle Corby did. I don't think she has access to enough money to be able to buy off the new boss, but I think the new boss might like the celebrity and the chances to get her name and photo in the media. Kind of like that sick Indonesian guard that was so proud of taking a picture with Myuran Sukumaran while Myu was actually in transit to his execution.

I agree. I guess it all depends on how much money HM is getting her hands on...still. I really don't understand how she is getting $$$. Judge Cohen had cut her off before. There was suppose to be a group looking out for Stella, but she is out of the prison now, so the money would not go through HM. I guess I don't have a corrupt enough mind process to figure it out.

Hi there.
My 24 year old daughter came over for dinner last night, and as she was wrapping up to leave, just casually asks me if I am familiar with this case. I told her that I was vaguely aware of it, and that I knew there was a Chicago connection. She then asks if I remember TS. What? No. Should I?
'He went to Brooks with me. He dated (name redacted of a girl she knew since about 2nd grade), remember?'
UGH. No, I don't remember this kid at all.
And then she basically told me that he is getting a bunch of support from kids she went to school with, and it made her sick. And then.... she just... left.
I'm stunned. I read several articles about this case when it first happened, but it must have been before the Oak Park connection came out, because if I had seen that, and TS' age, I would have been all over her.
Incredible. I have much reading to do. :(

Wow...too bad you weren't with us from the beginning Kadoober. Then again maybe it was for the best or you probably would have driven your daughter crazy lol. If you have any questions regarding the case just ask.

So your daughter knows people that TS is currently in contact with?

I'm afraid I am going to drive her crazy NOW!
I think she does, yes. Then again, maybe not, because I get the feeling she just learned of it. She knows 'how' I am, I think if she was aware of this horrible story from day one she would have mentioned it to be ages ago. I am waiting on the delivery of a replacement phone, and you can bet once I have it I'll be on the horn to her. I did see kids she used to hang out with supporting him on FB.
I've been reading some articles and he does look familiar to me. I'm sure I've met him at some point, probably through the girl he was dating that I mentioned before.

That girl wouldn't be Rachel would it? On another note, I'd love to know if he's been filling in any of his friends in Oak Park about his current living conditions in Kerobokan and anything he may be dishing about HM and her current situation. They both have cell phones and access to the internet and social media.

It would. I'm a bit sad that her name and pictures are associated with this mess. :( She was a good kid.

I have only gotten through the first 15 or so pages of thread one so far... but wow. I do wish that I had been on this case from jump, it is tragic, fascinating and bizarre.
It's amazing that at first there is all this discussion about how rough the prisons are there... but they have cell phones and internet? What on earth?

I will see what I can find out, but please don't get your hopes up. We moved out of Oak Park many years ago, my girlie went to high school in a different suburb, and she has lost touch with most of the kids from then. She still has a few friends that she talks to, and if any info regarding your question is available, it will come second hand through them. I know my daughter, and I know there is no way she will re-initiate contact with people who are supporting him right now. Her disgust was strong.

Honestly though, what with the timing of this, I can't help but wonder if a broken hearted kid just decided to give no more f's after R died, and managed to hook up with a lunatic. (NOT excusing, just pondering) That said, I have so much more to read.

Does anyone by chance have the text of the letter he posted to FB? The link is now dead, I would be interested to read what he had to say.

I think he did try to insinuate that his despair over Rachel's death caused him to not care anymore. Which contradicts with the fact that he did this because he thought he'd end up with a million dollars or more. That doesn't sound like someone who "doesn't care". Sounds like he cared very much...enough to be excited about his new get rich quick plan. It is a shame that he dragged Rachel's name into this. But I think it just helped to make a larger group of people saddened by the death of such a wonderful young woman. This was not a blemish on her at all.

Here's the link to The Daily Mail article with TS's full letter. Scroll past the highlights to get to the entire script.

Prosecutors want 9 to 11 years for man tied to Heather Mack case

In the sentencing memorandum filed Monday, federal prosecutors argued Bibbs “certainly could have prevented the murder had he contacted law enforcement.”

Prosecutors also asked the court to consider his ongoing use of marijuana as a factor in his sentence, though he does not have any prior criminal convictions. Bibbs tested positive for cannabis 11 times despite the court’s directive that he stay away from illegal drugs.

Federal prosecutors are asking for up to 11 years behind bars for a Chicago man who helped coach his cousin in the sensational murder of a woman at a Bali resort in return for a share of her estate.

Although Robert Bibbs did not directly participate in the 2014 slaying of Sheila von Wiese-Mack, whose body was discovered stuffed inside a bloodied suitcase, text messages Bibbs sent to his cousin, along with his statements to the FBI after the killing, showed he encouraged the crime and expected to be handsomely rewarded, prosecutors said in a court filing Monday.

"Babe we're gonna be rich," Bibbs texted his girlfriend around the time of the slaying, according to the filing. "Heed those words."

Bibbs, 26, is scheduled to be sentenced next week by U.S. District Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer. He pleaded guilty in Chicago in December to one count of conspiracy to commit foreign murder of a national of the United States.

Thank you very much for this!
It was not at all what I expected. This seems to pretty much cover the impression I have of HM so far perfectly: 'She is a hurricane sucking everything in and spitting everything out then vanishing before she can see the aftermath. She does it to her own family.'

It's really disturbing to me that HM is raising Stella. And it's really disturbing that the photos look like she's at a party, rather than prison.

I've wondered how much HM or TS might get from TV documentaries about their crimes. For some reason, HM has given exclusives to People and TV and talked to a Chicago reporter, but TS has been largely silent.

The son of convicted murderer Drew Peterson (Chicago area, coincidentally) appeared on a Lifetime TV documentary about his dad not long ago. He openly said he made the appearance because he needed the money. He was paid $10K.

Well we'll let you get a little further in your reading but yes, HM did raise Stella in the prison for 2 years. She gave guardianship to a local woman on Stella's 2nd birthday. And that's a whole other story. LOL

And yes, TS was likely astonished by just how sociopathic HM is after it was turned on him. But I think he was okay with it when he thought it was going to make him rich.

I think the difference is that HM has had all the outside help and TS has not.

Schaefer testified during his murder trial in Indonesia that von Wiese-Mack became angry when he went to her hotel room and told her that Heather Mack was pregnant; he said he struck her with a heavy metal fruit bowl handle after she threatened to harm the unborn baby and then began strangling him.

It seems so incredibly lame - the excuse they both gave at the trial. In hindsight, this is all BS.

On the day of the murder, Bibbs, who lived in Chatham on the South Side, exchanged numerous texts and Facebook messages with Mack and Schaefer about their plan. In one text to Mack, Bibbs told her to "go sit on her face with a pillow" or drown von Wiese-Mack after an attempt to drug the woman failed, court records show. Bibbs also warned the couple about surveillance cameras that could catch them in the act.

That I believe, is exactly what all the blood on the pillow was about - HM I doubt was in the bathroom hiding!

Meanwhile, Bibbs' sentencing may not be the last chapter in the high-profile case. The Tribune reported in March that the FBI was still actively investigating whether "additional people" were involved in the conspiracy. The disclosure came in a search warrant seeking to extract information from Mack's iPhone, which was confiscated after her arrest in Bali but remained locked because she refused to give investigators her password, court records show.

The warrant's 29-page affidavit, filed under seal on Jan. 4, sought to have the phone analyzed by an FBI forensic specialist to extract text messages, call records, photographs and at least one FaceTime chat Mack had with Schaefer during their trip to Bali, records show.

I hope the FBI are making progress in this line of investigation.

Federal prosecutors are asking for up to 11 years behind bars for a Chicago man.....
In asking for a sentence of 9 to 11 years in prison for Bibbs, prosecutors said that when he was first confronted about his involvement in the murder plot in 2014, he showed a chilling lack of remorse.

"(Bibbs) did not find (it) problematic that he provided advice and encouragement that led to a brutal murder," Assistant U.S. Attorney Bolling Haxall wrote. "(He) still does not seem to acknowledge the seriousness of the offense, the horrific way Von Wiese perished, the impact on her friends and her family, and his own culpability."

So, just like the others, no remorse. I hope he gets all 11 years. BTW-how ironic would it be if Bibbs served more time, (and it will be harder time), than HM?

I hadn't been checking here because I didn't expect any news for a while. I think Bibbs sentencing should be anytime.

I think Bibbs should go down for a long time.

We'll never know for sure, but I think there's a very strong chance that if he had told TS not to go through with it when TS was standing outside SWM's door, TS wouldn't be where he is now.

TS was in grave danger of losing his nerve, even with HM urging him on - remember how he expected HM to sedate SWM, and then he was trying to get her to 'whack' SWM so he only had to deal with an unconscious woman?

Looks like OS needs a little help. Wonder who will be paying for this?

And the city in which she is requesting the live in babysitter for is about a 15-20 minute drive from Kerobokan. Didn't she claim to live a lot farther away than that? :waitasec:

I agree. I think he should get the max 20 years he was promised that they would not go over for pleading guilty. ;)
