Bankrupt Casey Anthony interviewed by KPHO CBS in Phoenix #2

So they stopped making mortgage payments in 2011? So much for the work their attorney Mark Lippman did to re-negotiate the mortgage after Bank of America filed foreclosure documents in Feb 2010 and was resolved by Sept 2010.

BTW
The Dec 8 2011 building permit issued for the remodel of the master bath had a work valuation of $15,625.00

Looking at 10 comparables in their subdivision 5 out of 10 homes sold for less than $100,000 with 2 of those being on Hopesprings drive.
3 homes sold for $125,000 to $128,000 and 2 homes sold for more than $130,00

I have thought forever that the master bath is where Caylee died. :(

I just saw that they haven't made a payment on their house since 2011? How on earth have they been allowed to live there? They've had a free place to live for over 2 years? What happened to all the money they got selling out their grand baby? You would have thought they would have put some of that blood money towards the house? And how is it they don't have to work, I assume since I haven't heard otherwise? Other people have lost a family member and they don't become permanently disabled. I mean as sad as it is, Caylee died what? Five years ago? How long are they going to try to make a living off of their poor grand babies corpse?

AFAIK George has a job - he was given the job as Safety director at Quinco by David Deese, the guy who flew them to the Bahamas. As Casey said, her mother is "milking the disability system".

I still agree with ThinkTank..it was a Strategic Move.

They could be underwater or upside down on the mortgage.

The number of homeowners strategically defaulting on their mortgage payment has risen in the past few years

Economists and real-estate analysts are calling this phenomenon a "stealth stimulus" that is putting more cash in some people's pockets for iPods, netbooks, beach vacations, concerts and dinners out ETC...(ME:..maybe even master bath remodel)

I couldn't open the building permit.

I guess the A's have been laughing all the way to the bank each month about how they have conned the system again. It used to be that if you missed three payments, you were in trouble. This has been going on for two years or more before any foreclosure paperwork was even filed. They probably can stay there another year or so while the paperwork goes through the system. Then they will probably get a refinance again for a smaller loan with even smaller payments. Just unbelievable how some people get away with it!

No wonder these banks and mortgage companies are defaulting if this is the way they operate.

And, I forgot to add.
It is understandable why the values of the houses in that subdivision may have been going down. As long as the A's live there, there will always be the possibility of FCA moving back home.

I posted a link to that close up photo of George wearing his QUINCO shirt and badge beside the QUINCO airplane -- in the Sidebar thread.

and maybe, just maybe, the Anthony's realtor friend is working a deal with them, to snatch up their foreclosure home and resell?
The realtors paid $ 100 for their own home in 1991.

Thanks. I was able to open the building permit doc.
You could be right about a deal. I feel like there is something going on.

They just paid $100 for that?
I'm sure you are right about it being some kind of maneuvering by the A's to rip the bank/mortgage company off.. they are so slimy!

I lost two family member two years ago (brutally murdered sniper style). I had to work to keep my mind occupied. I have since retired, but working is all that kept me going.

How does someone who is not paying their mortgage pay $15k for a bathroom remodel? Can't figure that one out....!

You may have just answered it

Perhaps defaulting on the mortgage allowed them to pay for the bathroom remodel

I'm not used to thinking in devious ways like them, so when they do something that makes no sense I can't figure it out!

But why then default, they could lose the house and so the remodel was for someone else? Next owner?

Casey Anthony's parents facing foreclosure

Foreclosure proceedings have been initiated in Orange County against George and Cindy Anthony, parents of Casey Anthony.

In a complaint filed Nov. 4, Nationstar Mortgage said Cindy Anthony hasn't made a payment since January 2011. She owes more than $128,000, the complaint said.

:moo: I have absolutely ZERO sympathy for the A's ...

just an idea .... what if the "next owner" is the Anthony's realtor friend?
buy the house cheap in a foreclosure auction, then resell to someone new and make a profit for the realtor lady and the Anthonys ... or resell the house back to Cindy? or Casey?

When I lost my baby to stillbirth I was back at work within a week as well. It helped me to focus on something other then my loss and to be able to help others.

I have been waiting for karma to slap them up one side and down the other - for so long. Look how long we had to wait for OJ to pay some dues, no justice - no peace, that is not working for me at all these days.
