Hi Elle, the way I read that is that Ron is saying he is not currently USING drugs. Nothing about past drug usage. I have NEVER heard Ron deny past drug usage. I've never heard him asked about past drug usage. I suppose that is nitpicking and all in the wording... but I wouldn't be volunteering anything to that jerk Geraldo. That was an ambush on Ron and he was TRYING to get Ron to lose his temper (IMO). Geraldo had firmly planted himself in Crystal's "camp". I find that all so ridiculous. Was there any journalist that was in HaLeigh's CAMP?!!?

It is my understanding that Ron was given a hair follicle test prior to his being hired at PDM, so he was clearly not using drugs. After hiring, there are random drug screenings. I do not believe Ron was using drugs, and feel his answer was honest in the context Ron answered. Of course, others will feel differently according to their own feelings.

Well I thank you for posting that video Ath. My memory did not serve me correctly at all did it? What I thought I heard Geraldo ask if he had ever used drugs and Ronald answered no. The way geraldo posed the question Ronald answered it honestly, as far as any of us know.

I agree that geraldo was intentionally going for shock value. Perhaps that was why we saw Ronald hire an attorney around this time as well?

Honestly, teh your edit to add is exactly the reason that I do not post in the basement. I would never ever take a post of yours and quote it and completely misrepresent what you are saying. Did I say I didn't trust a websleuth member? No I did not. The name of the thread (downstairs)speaks for itself and I sincerely do not appreciate you insinuating that I do not trust a fellow member. I was honest and answered a question.

Yes in my opinion. Honestly I had no idea that Kim P thought that Crystal and Marie were trying to profit off the Haleighbug foundation, for one. That would go a long way in supplying a motive to have a child go missing.

Second, I have recently been researching Marty S and Connie S, because In my opinion Marty would have direct knowledge of the goings on at RC's home. I personally got the impression after reading the Bar documents that Marty and Connie were frustrated with both Ronald and Crystal. It is worth investigating, in my opinion.

Actually, if Cobra was paid by Crystal, which the documents show, it was Crystal who needed to file a complaint. In the documents, Kim said she researched for a lawyer for them and gave them the information, but they never followed up. AGAIN.

Plus, isn't Kim a family law attorney? That wouldn't be her area of expertise anyway.

It is apperant now that Crystal and Maries only concern from the begining was MONEY, CUSTODY and Child Support modifications. If I read the doc. right Marie was on the ball before KP showed up on 03/13/09 with a truck being raffled and money jars set up everywhere and begging for donations at their tent.

Wow, after reading so much about all this I agree that none of it did one thing to help figure out what happened to Haleigh. It just took any focus off the real victim. I'm not talking about WS at all, but IMO all these folks (the family and those involved with them) need to stay off the internet, quit giving interviews about their personal lives, stay off the NG show, quit having fundraisers or setting up foundations, and work together.
Ron and Crystal need to kick all this other BS to the curb and work together regardless of if they're on drugs or not. The grandmas need to help as they can with places to live, support, and care of Butterbean. They don't need entertainment attorneys or getting involved with every tom dick and harry. Ron has Jr., Crystal's child support was caught up, and the KP attorney was found not to be at fault for anything. They need to move forward and focus on the victim in all this, and get searchers back in now that the vegetation has died out. Let the searchers have their own fundraisers. Everyone is now pointing fingers at Marie and Crystal, but what about the blankets, no detergent, and the inconsistencies! They need to all get back to that and to search for Haleigh. Remember what happened with Caylee with all the hoopla going on, she was right down the street.

bbm~Kimster, honestly I haven't read everything.. been busy with RL (and a self imposed mini break :banghead: )..but as far as I can tell the answer is NOPE and not a effin thing that I can see.. .MOO

The only thing that I have learned from these docs so far is that HaLeigh had a more screwed up family all the way around than I even imagined. To be honest Crystal's drug use didn't surprise me in the least. I figured that...to what extent I couldn't be sure of course and still can't, at least not from anything I have read so far. Sadly just from little glimpses into her life, never did I 'assume' that she was one of the few that was able to get clean and stayed clean, nor do I assume that Ron did either...and I still don't believe that he did. He may not have been convicted of the drug charges,.. but come on now... can anybody think of anyone that they know of, heard of, etc. that was falsely (meaning with absolutely no just cause) arrested that many times and they had nothing, nada to do with the drugs in question? Puleeze...then let me sell you a bridge I have in Brooklyn, I'll give you a good deal! :woohoo: Not to mention that I was married to a user/abuser/addict for many years and the subtle signs that many wouldn't notice you learn to recognize real quick..moo..

Only thing I'm waiting for now is ....the other shoe to drop,THEN maybe we will find out what happened to HaLeigh.

atherella, you are right...Ron was not asked about current drug use, not in so many words anyway and he was under no obligation to Geraldo to answer either way, but he did answer and he did lie by ommission IMO. Does that make it ok? I also agree with you that if we were just talking about pot, while many won't agree of course, it WOULD be a whole 'nother ballgame imo. I just firmly...very,very firmly (lol! :croc believe that is not the case......

The only comment I can even make tonight on all the rest of this KP/Marie/blogger stuff is ..oyvey..sadly you couldn't make this stuff up if you tried and we are not a bit closer to finding HaLeigh because of it, how sad is that?

Ron's daddy was the shorter guy that showed up later on...toward the end of the video when Ron is making his camera plea (as his family is shooing away the cameras) there's a lil guy standing next to Ron......that's Rooster.

The tall guy with arms crossed who appears and is only ominously in the background......That ain't TN's boyfriend, either. There's a pic of him somewhere and this guy ain't him. He was most likely still lickin' his wounds from his bad check charge the day before.

It's like watching the Hatfields and the McCoys. I wish it would stop. Someone within these families needs to step up and help find Haleigh. Instead these folks are spitting out nasties about each other, accusing each other of lying, drug possession, abuse, illegial behavior, cheating and anything else to soil their name and reputations.
I wish these two families had moderators like those here at WS. There would be a lot of time outs! But maybe there would be some positive steps to find Haliegh. Goodnight all.
