Well I never thought about looking at different ransom notes I been looking at the RN itself but I will start reseaching about RN's..
Now I been looking at ransom notes so far other the JB Rn I found two other handwritten.. And at least with Barbara Mackle, she was left in the box with food, water.airpump, and a lamp..So far I have found none of the kidnapped people was found at home..How long the RN doesn't make sense to me but that's just me..
No time? They could have called police anytime early morning they wanted. They can claim they "woke up" at 8am. They can claim they searched the RN and found it it some obscure place like the bathroom, or that they first found their daughter dead, and later found the RN.
If it was longer than it was supposed to be, JR and PR could, you know,
START OVER.
It's not just you. The RN doesn't make sense to a lot of people.
II think the Rs tailored the ransom $$ to fit in with the list of people they had in mind to pin this on. They could make a case for LHP knowing, simply because of her intimate knowledge of the family. Certainly, a few Access Graphcs employees. So they could say it had to be one of THEM because only they would know John's bonus. So much for the SFF. Then again, JR but that notion to rest the moment he brought up JB from the basement. His words "this is an inside job". They plan all along was to pin this on someone they knew.
Voynich, plz do me a favor explain to me what you are trying to do about the length, cause I'm lost.. I been researching RN's now..
Thank you for explaining this me I don't feel lost anymore...
so what are the other rn notes we can compare/contrast to?
Here's one:
LLRN was typed, so was BJMRN. RN was handwritten, as was La Marca RN. FBI actually matched his handwriting to the RN.
http://www.fbi.gov/libref/historic/famcases/weinber/weinbernew.htm
Now THERE's a REAL handwriting match, ladies. Check out the capital "N" and capital 'P'.
"The note was examined by experts who agreed that the original ransom note and the second note were written by the same person." Its the concensus RDI wanted but never got.
Very remarkable is how they used only the handwriting itself to find the kidnapper. It seemed to be a large scale effort on the part of the FBI that solved the case.

What you say is true, but it would be equally true for the R's to carry out their dead kid than one kicking and screaming, and an even better for their staging.
If the parents wanted a convincing kidnapping for ransom scenario portrayed, they'd have chosen an appropriate, believeable amount. Remember, in RDI the RN was 'explaining' JBR dead in the basement, so the amount of the ransom wouldn't be lowballed because they wouldn't need to 'part' with any money, as you've claimed. JR and PR working together would come up with an appropriate ransom, and its agreed that 118K was low.
The ligature 'too loose to do anything' is the standard assumption/line for RDI. It exposes a naivety with RDI where all items found at the crime scene are static. In fact, the 'loose' 2nd ligature actually supports the botched kidnapping idea because the 2nd ligature would've never been used as it was originally intended.
JB's RN was ONE of the longest ever written..
From WIKI...
Length of RN. "The Ransom Note was quite long, and in fact is one of the longest ransom notes in the history of kidnapping cases. (PSDMF P 17.) (Carnes 2003:25)
RDIST= any new IDI supporting information or evidence will be taken out of context, distorted, abused, and finally discarded, in a matter of minutes.
VERY interesting ransom note, and because of this note I'll respectfully disagree with the claim that the RN author knew of either LLRN or BRN.
When you consider the similarities between all three ransom notes, and the similarities between the crimes:
These are all obviously basic, fundamental 'real' kidnapper concerns. These are fully and clearly expressed in both word and deed in all three crimes. IOW all three criminals shared the same concerns and behaviors, according to the evidence.
- how the money is packaged and handled
- how contact will be made
- how will police involvement be handled
- how the victim will be subdued
The force is strong in you!
