Circumstances of Disappearance​

In 1985 the Cavas family lived at 85 Ransfortstraat in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek. It was on a Wednesday, February 6, 1985, that the boy disappeared. In the afternoon there was no school and Gevriye, then 5 years old, was at home where an older sister was keeping an eye on things. His mother was sick in bed. At around 3 pm, Gevriye wanted to find his big brother to play football together on a field nearby. Despite the ban on going outside, the toddler left the house alone. He was never seen again. The investigation has not yet been completed. With the help of an aging photo the investigators hope to obtain useful tips.

“In 1985 the Cavas family lived at Ransfortstraat 85 in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek. It was on a Wednesday, February 6, 1985, that the boy disappeared. There was no school in the afternoon and Gevriye, then 5 years old, was at home where an older sister kept an eye on things. His mother was sick in bed. Around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, Gevriye wanted to go find his big brother to play football together at a nearby field. Despite the ban on going outside, the toddler left the house alone. He was never seen again.

The investigation has not yet been completed. With the help of an aging photo, the investigators hope to obtain useful tips. The aging photo is also on the search brochure that De Post distributes bus to bus in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek.

I hope and pray so much that he was taken by someone who just wanted a child and took care of him.. Gevriye living his life not knowing his real identity would be the best option on what could have happen to him.

I'm not an expert on the subject but I would think this is possible. If the person who took him did brainwash him, in some way, by repeating continuously lies to him, maybe he just ended up believing in it.
He could also have "forgotten" everything before his 6yo, kind of a black out, that's a reaction the brain can get after getting through big traumas.
Again I'm not an expert and this is all jmo
