Horrible,awful news for family,friends and loved ones.All my strenght wishes for them..must be so hard ,to get this news,all hope crushed.

Let's hope the media will show respect.

This is so tragically sad. Did the mum’s friend (his girlfriend) not know her boyfriend was a convicted child killer? Did she believe he was innocent all along?

At least he’s led them to Dean’s body, so many don’t and those babies are lost and alone forever.

He and his gf had been arguing according to her. What were they arguing about? Him being abusive to Dean?
Why did she allow him to take him? Was Dave abusive to her too?
She will be questioned I'm sure!

of course De Kock has the ultimate responsibility here but this wouldn't have happened if he had been given a longer, imo more appropriate prison sentence and release conditions He should have been on whatever the Dutch version of parole is, he should have been monitored CONSTANTLY to make sure he has no contact w/ children. The mum has said that he's been watching her baby every Wednesday!! Utterly utterly ridiculous. Child sex offenders have restrictions and conditions but child murderers dont??
Normally I prefer the prison/legal system of smaller European countries over what we have here in the West but someone really dropped the ball here IMO

It sounds like Dave is talking so we'll know more soon.
I do wonder how much the gf knows and knew. I did find it odd that she allowed Dave to leave with Dean and didn't report anything to anyone! Dean was supposed to go to his g'mas on Thursday and they asked for another day. Had something happened on Wednesday?

I’m devastated to learn that little Dean is dead. It’s incredible that a child murderer can walk the streets again after only 10 years sentence. It should have not happened in a first place , he should have been behind bars to rest of his days. This case hits close home to me. I’ve spent so many summers on Neeltje Jans and very well know the village that he was arrested in. I was born and raised in Utrecht. Law should change to protect kids from monsters like Dave . As of now fly high Dean we will always remember.

I would like to know the shape Dean was in and the cause of death.
I wonder if Dave beat him like he did Miguel in 2008.
And as of right now I want to know where it happened. At the home with the gf or after he left?
And I wonder if there was really a fight where the gf kicked him out. He left and he left with Dean for a reason. Who on earth would allow an Ex Con to take a child and while they were in a poor and angered state of mind?
That story seems very questionable to me.
But I think Dave will talk more since he led LE to the body.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is another arrest.

What gets to me is that Dean was most likely at the wrong place at the wrong time. Dave had no beef with Dean, and he did not hurt Dean to get to Dean's mother. It was pure sadism. Dave was "wronged" (fight with his gf) and someone had to pay.
