Bond has a much longer rap sheet from Worcester County during the late 90s and early 2000’s. She was arrested for assault and battery, receiving stolen property, larceny and prostitution.

In all, she has more than 20 different criminal cases in a little over a decade.

Between October 2006 and June 2011, court filings show Bond&#8217;s life spiraling out of control. During that period she was arrested more than a dozen times for charges including possessing crack cocaine, possessing heroin, selling pills and prostitution.

In April 2008, Bond was arrested in Fitchburg for offering to perform sexual acts on an undercover cop for $40. Two years later, she was arrested on Dorchester Avenue for the same thing, this time offering to service an undercover Boston cop for $20.

Amoroso said he has been in Florida and returned to Massachusetts in August. He said Bond stayed with him in Lynn on Thursday night and he was questioned Friday.

Seems timely that she was with baby-daddy on Thursday and then she's arrested on Friday. JMO

Joseph Amoroso arrived in Boston several weeks back on what he said was a mission to meet his 2 ½-year-old daughter for the first time.

He visited Bella Bond&#8217;s home on Maxwell Street in Dorchester twice, he said, only to be told by the girl&#8217;s mother, Rachelle Bond, that the girl was on Cape Cod. Her darting eyes told a different story. By the end of last week, after they had spent about 24 hours together, he said she told him the awful truth.

&#8220;Our daughter is dead,&#8221; Amoroso claimed Bond confessed to him. &#8220;The guy that&#8217;s been living in my house murdered our daughter.&#8221;

The "Baby Doe" mystery broke open due to a tip to Boston Police detectives, leading police to identify the child and arrest her mother and her mother's boyfriend.

"I'm a mother. As a mother, it's unimaginable someone would do that and I'm just glad I was able to have a small part in giving Bella a name," said the woman who called in the tip. FOX25 has agreed not to identify her.

It would be easy and cynical to say that Trooper Dan Herman, Detective Lieutenant Jack Lannon, Lieutenant Bob Murphy, and Sergeant Scott Holland were just doing their jobs. But they and so many other investigators from Winthrop and surrounding police departments went above and beyond.

From the moment they stood on the shoreline, staring at Baby Doe&#8217;s body, Herman and Holland vowed they would not rest until they found out who she was and why she died.

Herman, the lead investigator, drove around with that digitally-created image of Bella taped to his dashboard.
And on Saturday morning, 24 hours after solving the biggest mystery of their careers, Dan Herman&#8217;s State Police colleagues were back on that same craggy shoreline, in Revere, a few miles north of where they found Bella Bond&#8217;s body. This time it was an unidentified woman&#8217;s body.

Dan Herman couldn&#8217;t join them. He was back at the office, on what was supposed to be a day off, still working for Bella.

Two months before? So that would put Bella's death sometime in April? I believe a previous article stated that neighbors report last seeing Bella sometime around March or April too..

Baker says agency will institute new rules after death

The state Department of Children and Families will review its involvement with the little girl found dead on a Deer Island beach in June and move swiftly to implement a series of recommendations to identify and protect children at risk, Governor Charlie Baker said Sunday.

DCF will &#8220;take a good look at the case&#8221; and update its risk assessment and intake systems, Baker said while attending an event in South Boston. &#8220;Tragedies like this illustrate just how important it is we get this done and get it done quickly.&#8221;

Bella Bond, known to the world only as &#8220;Baby Doe&#8221; until the arrests last week of her mother and her mother&#8217;s boyfriend, had been the subject of a DCF investigation twice before &#8212; in 2012 and 2013 &#8212; following reports of neglect made to the agency. DCF spokeswoman Andrea Grossman said the agency is unable to discuss the details of the case, which was closed over two years ago under the previous administration.
