Actually the article states that as of Wed night, police had no idea where Raven was.

I still think it was just a stupid reporter.
Reporter to police: Where is the woman's husband.
police to reporter: IDK ... get out of my face.

So the reporter hung around and asked the co-worker a few questions and called the story in.

So how are you deciding what reporter to believe then? I mean if thats the case, how do we believe the bit about the co-workers being there etc? None of the articles I read had an interview with anyone other than neighbors.

Quite frankly, IMO, I don't believe ANY speculation or unconfirmed writing/reporting by ANY of the local media - UNLESS they directly quote LE or some other source. Their job is to report FACTS, not to speculate. Period.

My :twocents: . That maybe this particular reporter was there early the next morning or later that day. Raven had already left the house by then (either at the police station for more questioning or released), the co-worker(s) were there and this reporter stated the facts that we was told at that time. Raven no where to be found and that the co-worker(s) were concerned???

It's only a theory. But it's mine.

We never saw a retraction, but if you think about my theory ... both stories of Raven being there and the co-worker being there work.

The co-worker was probably frantically worried about her friend. Police were around and reporters. Reporters started asking her about her friend ... where was her husband? I don't know? I don't see him? He's no where to be found! But, he could have been inside the house talking to police and the reporters in a rush to get the story of Janet out, ran with what information they got from her friend.
Sounds plausible to me. Bad job on the reporters part, but it makes sense.

Raven was with the police that night after the murder, there were no questions about his whereabouts.

On a different note, Raven had 4 cars/motorcycles at the time he was fired from Eurosport: An Acura 3.0 CL, a Dodge Durango, a VX (just 1 and it was originally white) and his motorcycle. The jeep he apparently owned, he gave to a friend.

Hi Munch! Thanks for the clarification... I've been wondering what happened with all the various vehicles actually...

As far as the Ducati, do you know by chance if it was ever sold??

F O U R ! ! ! Wow! Thank you so much for helping us with that Munch!

eta: I just noticed that he GAVE the jeep to a friend. Didn't we just find a post today that he said he had added $2,000 in stuff to the jeep?

Found my answer

.................
I wanted to say afew things about the quote that 4wheelparts is the best 4 wheel place. I know that there is one in Charlotte, NC and this is what I have to say.... I spent $2k on parts for my jeep, from springs, to seats, liner, push bars, pitman arms, steering columns, etc... All the accessories get in and I take the jeep in to have it all installed (because I don't have a garage to do it myself)

That's a whole lot of transportation for two people. I don't think the motorcycle did sell. I wonder they tried to sell any of the other vehicles?

They bought the Durango right before they took their trip out west, so that was in late November or early December. Since the VX wasn't exactly a family car used for long distances and the Acura was a 2-door, they didn't have a "family" car I guess. The Acura was semi-new, I don't remember exactly when they purchased it, nor do I know if Janet had a car before that, but I am pretty sure it was within the last year or so.

Munch, do you know if anyone else was at the house that night? I'm referring to the story of a co-worker being there ... as that whole situation is pretty fuzzy.

The police asked him NO questions about where he was that night? None?

And you wouldn't happen to know if that "friend" he gave a CAR to was a male friend or a female friend, would you?

Pick me ! Pick me ! I know the answer to part of your question.

The answer is Darius. In the photos there were lots of pictures of Darius and the Jeep. I thought it was his, but then Raven was posting that it was his ... so I was very confused. I eventually figured out that Raven must have SOLD his jeep to Darius. I never figure that he GAVE it to him!

Sorry, my sentence wasn't worded very well...I meant that it was confirmed that Raven was with the police the night of Janet's murder. It was being talked about that the police didn't know where he was and that is an incorrect statement.

I am pretty sure the car was given to a guy, who was supposed to pay him for it, but never did...sounded shady to me at the time, still does...All I know is that I never saw his Jeep and that Raven never seemed too upset that he didnt have the Jeep or that his buddy hadn't paid him for it. I guess it's possible that whoever he gave the jeep to eventually paid him...

Golfmom, I have heard the same rumors you have, that one of her coworkers, old or new, were at the house. I know that the next morning old coworkers went to the scene, but that's all I know.

Sigh ... so close yet so far ... Thanks for letting us know though!

Although I never saw the car parked there, i was told that he was trying to sell the VX on Hillsborough Road, which is a street, in Durham, with alot of fast food restaurants and gas stations (high traffic area).
Wouldn't the "highend, custom painted, tricked out, top of the line VX" be subject to break in or be stolen if he just left it out? Maybe he brought it home each night? Munch: Do you know if Raven had all of his vehicles (3 cars and a motorcycle) on April 26 or had it sold any between losing his job and Janet's murder?

I would not leave a vehicle out overnight in the area or anywhere in Durham for that matter. You would be lucky to come back and find it still there. And even if the vehicle was still there, it would probably be on blocks and stripped. :D
