MISTRIAL Bill Cosby -- Charged W/Aggravated Sexual Assault/Other Rape Allegations #5

A lawyer friend told me that the stories all share similarities called "the ring of truth." Both Cosby and Ghomeshi had patterns.

And another lawyer will say when there are too many "similarities" that ring of "truth" diminishes, because the "ring" was often created. Unfortunately, it's too late to call the rule!

The reason it's important (to me) to specify "alleged", is because just from reading the majority of the posts one would think due process had taken place and BC had already been found guilty.

Anyone here who mistakenly believes due process has taken place, put up your hand!!

Well, I see this will be a volley back and forth type of discussion. :rollercoaster:

There is no coincidence whatsoever. Since the beginning of time, money has been a catalyst that makes some men more attractive to women. So tell me, in which of these 55 "cases" didn't BC's millions/billions cause him to become attractive? And yes, then THEIR grooming begins.

Seriously? They groomed him, for what end? To report a rape 40 years later if 40 other women have also reported rape?

No doubt his fame, fortune, and reputation greatly helped him in finding the women to "mentor".

But that gives him no licence to rape.

Bill can not be criminally prosecuted on 99% of the cases if that. So maybe most just want justice as far as outting him.

But since their claims can't be proving beyond a reasonable doubt. Then he can when a defamation suit against them or atleast have them not win their suits. Jmo

Bill would rather pay 1 billion to lawyers than a dime to each victim. Jmo.

This could mean that he feels like things were agreed upon during the time of the rendezvous. Or he feels like he gave them all enough agreed upon hush money at the time. Or he feels innocent and old and rich. Or he feels guilty and old and rich while trying to save face. Or something.

Idk.

Honestly, billions and all, I don't find him sexually attractive. In his prime he was good looking enoughbut, still, he's Mr. Huxtable, gross. Now, Theo on the other hand . . . .

It's the defamation suits that will sink him. He can't be forced to testify in criminal court but in a civil claim, he has to sit for deposition, and we all know how poorly he avoided self incrimination last time.

Bona Dea. Theo should start his own Cosby remake without dad. Lol.

But seriously. I hope the actors and cast and crew that relied on the residual payouts for the next 20 years can get something since the Cos was the executive producer and caused their lost residual income due to his own debacle.

So I doubt Bill will be worth $1 if everyone started suing him. But if he was a Llc or corp than his personal finances would be secured for any lawsuits that come from the business aspect of things. Jmo for now.

I have to agree, but to some, his money MADE him attractive.

I may have misunderstood DexterMorgan's post, but I thought he meant Bill would sue for defamation. DM, would you please clarify?

He IS suing for defamation. Beverly Johnson is the one defendant I remember, but there are several. But sue/be sued, doesn't matter, he still has to be deposed by opposing council. Though I bet he drops that now that he's under indictment-too much opportunity to self incriminate.

To tell you the truth. I think most prostitutes or 20 year olds that dated 60 years olds. Thought the same thing at one point. Jmo.

Agree. But Hugh Hefner is 90 years old with 20 year olds living and sleeping with him.

So when it comes to money or fame or notoriety. Looks nor age has no bounds.

Jmo[/B]

Course, but that's the thing, if he'd made a career of exchanging $$ (or whatever material goods) for sex I'd say, "God bless," and wish him many happy returns, but quid pro quo doesn't seem his taste, to put it mildly.

Yeah but have you seen the interviews with his ex bunny-fiancée? Ouch. Says they all would close their eyes and hold their noses until "it" was over.

But while sticking around. Tells us that whether in Vegas or a crack head brothel or whatever. Tells us that something kept these people in the realm. Jmo

Which says money hungry.

But his daughter is doing pretty good to make sure that her legacy and inheritance is still intact. Jmo.

Let's remember. Fiance doesn't get the estate. So once it's all said and done.

They pack their bags as the rest. So being mad about not being in the will while trying to get a pay from the Enquire or Tmz says a lot.

Maybe Bill was in the same situation as well.

But since he wasn't a Hefner with magazines and contracts. Then maybe they decided to get paid. Idk

You're arguing my point--they stick around because they are getting something, $$ or the chance at fame, or just getting to live that lifestyle for a time. They aren't there because they just can't resist old cobweb-crotch.
