But why drug women? He could have got all that he wanted with willing partners. Why did he have to render them semi conscious? I don't get that at all.

Nothing about the case makes any sense.

It may have to do with a sexual fetish called somnophilia.

Yale revokes Bill Cosby's honorary degree, something the college has never done in its 300-year
Degree awarded to Cosby in 2003

By DOUG CRISS, CNN

(CNN) - Yale has revoked the honorary degree it granted to comedian Bill Cosby, a first in the history of the college.

The school's board of trustees voted to rescind the degree it awarded to Cosby in 2003.

"The decision is based on a court record providing clear and convincing evidence of conduct that violates fundamental standards of decency shared by all members of the Yale community, conduct that was unknown to the board at the time the degree was awarded," the school said in a statement...

// Idon't like to talk about this case because it reveals how twisted rape becomes when it's twisted through the prism of black identity within the black community (which I am a member of) by members of the black community//.

Mormon culture, which is predominantly white, is very similar for many of the same reasons. Our “stake” (diocese) had a serial rapist and the leadership told women they would be disciplined if they went to the police because it might “make THE CHURCH look bad” - and making the organization look bad is an unforgivable sin. Recently several other similar stories of rape, molestation and abuse have come to light, and the undercurrent is the abused are thrown under the bus for a supposed “greater good”.

I think one of the attorneys in the courtroom when BC blew his stack said, 'now you've seen just a bit of what he's really like' (paraphrasing).

As posted upthread, he sold said plane 2 weeks ago and another is sheltered in a numbered company.

FWIW, many years ago before BC was on tv, when he was only known for comedy and had a few records out....my spouse and I walked right into him at JFK airport. He looked terrified as he heard all of the people behind us coming from the plane.

It was our first anniversary, our first trip to NYC and we were first off the plane. As we hurried along the tunnel area, there was Bill Cosby in a huge, very expensive fur coat looking terrified.

He muttered about being told no one was coming that way and he dashed into a nearby phone booth (am I aging myself here?) and asked, pleaded with us to surround it and not say a word to the other passengers.

We were a couple of 20 somethings, casually dressed...and because I WAS a fan, we did it.

We stood there to 'protect him from his fans', thus making us late for getting luggage and at the end of the line for cabs.

Once the people had dispersed, he came out of the booth and never even said thank you.

I knew he came to a Toronto tailor for shirts a couple of times a year and wanted, at one point, to go down there and get his autograph (by then he was huge on tv) but my spouse always said......if he cannot thank us for helping him, to H#LL with him. Now, Im glad I didn't bother.....its not worth a plug nickel.

I do hope he does jail time, he does deserve it.

He used to hang out at the resort in Palm Springs both my parents worked at (dad was executive chef, mom managed the jewelry store) and neither one of the could stand him. Mom would complain about how demanding and vulgar he was. When the allegations first came out all she said was “I’m not surprised “

One of the articles before the first trial that was keeping up with all the accusers went into depth about Somnophilia which is the sexual fetish dealing with sex with incapacitated or sleeping people. They made a good case for Cosby and it.

I recall when Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy said that Cosby called them and chastised them for their language. He preached to young men about "pulling up your pants" and other things as if he were a saint. It is appalling. Meanwhile, he's a serial rapist.

Don't forget the girl at BYU who "broke the honor code" by being raped!

Punished after reporting rape at Brigham Young University

She told me, almost all, in her opinion, almost all of the reported rapes and assaults at BYU are false reports made by women that feel ... morally bad after they're having consensual activities," MacDonald recalled.

(I could go on and on about this subject but I'm not going to go off topic)

But yeah community image definitely impacts how things are handled sometimes.

I'm still amazed that anyone thinks Cosby is innocent, but as my conversation with my coworkers showed, even after the verdict some won't ever believe.

That fetish must have had something to do with it in addition to power and humiliation. If he were normal and wanted sex outside of marriage (bah) he could have had plenty of partners. It seems almost casual the way all this came to light. Did that other comedian start the ball rolling or did the women try to speak before and no one believed them? For those who needed time to come forward, I dont blame them at all for that. It is difficult.

Cosby has been known for drugging and raping women for decades. People keep quiet for the powerful and wealthy, as well as for most others. Thats why those ads of disapproving 'pals' being thanked for keeping quiet after they drug a womans' drink. When you say nothing, you are complicit IMO

Yale rescinded BCs degree yesterday. First time they've ever done that in their over 300 year history!

Seems its one of a list of universities to do so, including Temple University, Carnegie Mellon and others

Good move Yale and others. CNN and other MSM

When does he have to put a Sex Offender sign on his lawn, on the outside of his privacy hedge/gates??

Better yet, when is he going to jail??

Wife: ‘Mob justice, not real justice’ convicted Cosby
Associated Press

Philadelphia – Bill Cosby’s wife called Thursday for a criminal investigation into the suburban Philadelphia prosecutor behind his sexual assault conviction, saying the case that could put the 80-year-old comedian in prison for the rest of his life was “mob justice, not real justice” and a “tragedy” that must be undone.

Camille Cosby made her first comments on the verdict in a three-page statement sent to the media through a family spokesman a week after a jury found her husband of 54 years guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault...

Camille Cosby has been blind to her husband's dalliances for years. Camille has been blinded by her husband's fame and fortune and views Cosby's world through rose-colored glasses. There are none so blind as those who will not see...

I have followed everything here and have the utmost respect for the courage of these abused women who finally have the justice they deserve, just sad it took so long.

I long for the time when all the abused (women, men and children) are listened to with
understanding, believed, and the correct procedures are followed when they report what has happened.

In the UK you'll have heard of Jimmy Saville, Max Hastings, MP's, etc. and so many others in a situation of power, wealth and - FGS - public adoration, which so wrongly somehow appears to place them in a 'protected environment'.

You know the Hans Christian Anderson tale of "The Emperor's New Clothes" ?? This is what these cases remind me of. Denial by the masses until one person has the strength to stand up and be believed finally. AJIMO x

My first thought on reading this statement from Camille was that Bill wrote it and she issued it in her own name. But who knows.

If you are a doofus, and I don't think you are, so am I. Your post got me to googling both Camille and Bill Cosby.

Its a bit convoluted, so hang on.......Bill got his high school equivalency papers but was busy working as a comedian. He started a doctorate at UMass by writing a partial requirement for his PhD, so Temple U gave him a BA for his 'life experiences'. hmmm No mention of a Masters.....and a backwards way of working towards a PhD. It didn't say if he completed it or not.
Those were followed by many honorary degrees due to his successes over the decades and many have been rescinded.

Camille Cosby, on the other hand, does have a PhD that she got in the 1970s. I remember her returning to school and completing both a Masters and PhD (in education I think).

Apparently, she left college in senior year to marry Bill, had five children and then realized that she needed to return to her education. She has been Bills manager and is known as a tough business woman.

Just some information......about two very well educated people who IMO are morally bankrupt.
