The guy probably works for Walmart distribution center and that is where the subpoena was sent.

Only thing I can think of is she thought she could get custody of RJ if Haleigh went missing while RC had custody of the children.

That is exactly what I posted on Ron's thread yesterday.
Haleigh turns up missing and the court put a hold on the contempt hearing. Yes, CS still owes back support but until that hearing happens she is off the hook and doesn't end up in jail.

That is exactly what did end up happening. Court put a hold on the hearing. [Would love to know if the court did it or this was a court action based on an action by CS or Ron]

Now my other question was/is. Can CS now use the fact that Haleigh is missing on Ron's watch to regain custody of Jr. That would then terminate all support payments going into the future.
Also, if Ron ends up in jail, even not having anything to do with Haleigh being missing but on a statutory charge because of Misty's age, would he be owed that back support?

The fact that we know the child services has been to the home in the last 5 months since they moved into the 202 Green Lane home, for what is what we don’t know. School absences, abuse allegation, Misty's age. Could be anyone of them and the complaint could have come from CS, her mother, the school, a neighbor or an anonymous person. That leads me believe that child services did not find anything amiss in the home since the children were still there. It also lead me to believe that there must be something, emancipation papers for Misty or consent papers for Misty to keep child services from removing Misty from the home as well.

CS according to the documents that we can see has not been able to prove her allegations and Ron has retained custody of the children. It has been said many times by other posters but CS has not done the things that need to be done to in the eyes of the court to get custody. The court does not keep it a secrete what one needs to do for custody and she had an attorney to boot. CS also has been shown to make a false report to LE. That in it self goes along way to credibility in any future court proceedings. Not paying her court ordered support and allowing the arrears to grow to that amount that is puts her one step from being arrested shows again that she is not willing to do what is necessary and also shows what little regard she does have for her children. Paying support in not punishment for not being able to live with the father it is for the benefit of your children’s well being.

I am not saying that Crystal had anything to do with taking Haleigh but that does not mean that someone connected to her did not. Who benefits the most from Haleigh being missing?

As far as the question if it was the mother who was responsible why not take JR at the same time. Thinking about it logically if you heard that both children were taken what or who would be you first thought. The non-custodial parent. And LE would think the same thing also and immediately go full bore at the CS and comp

These people are poor, or working poor at best. It's a miserable existence that causes them to turn to drugs, violence, or both...

No, other than in the eyes of the court anything that is used for the purpose of inflicting harm that could kill, even if not originally for that purpose would be called a deadly weapon. It does not have to be a gun. I.e. a baseball bat. Not made to harm but if used in that manor will.

There is a lot of civil stuff in Baker County for him also. [CS father] I haven't focused on him that much because I couldn't figure out what he would have to gain by taking Haleigh but thinking in terms of payback against the grandfather from someone I guess his record needs to be looked at.

See bold above: Apparently a judge's ruling indicates he was on the very same page ... We can argue till the cows come home, in hindsight, what was really in the best interest of these children. We can discuss ad nauseum abuse/no abuse, drugs/no drugs, IMO it only diverts attention and is an exercise in futility.

whoa, in other words. It's okay to make cheeky comments about the mother without even knowing her, but discussing alleged abuse against the father, is off limits? I see where youre coming from Ceeker. I no longer will include you in part of it, but Haleigh may not have been placed in the right home. It says right there in those court documents that the decision was based about financial care for the children. I personally dont find anything futil about child abuse or drug use. If its alleged in this case.....regardless of who is accusing whom, I will sleuth it. I take no sides, but I dont take no spin. MOO

I don't know. I don't remember seeing any details from CPS in the court documents. Those files are usually not part of any public records that you can view.

I have looked at so much. LOL] but when it came time for court he did not show up to give any testimony.

Folks, dont worry about the back child support....Remember its tax season, her tax return will be handed over.....in other words, intercepted by friend of the court. If she was married to Chad at this point, they would take it out of his, if they file jointly.

At the up coming hearing they will re-adjust what she pays based on the sliding scale, based on income, if there is no income, it will be the minimum wage.

Also, many many people I know are a few grand behind in child support at one time or another. Eventually they pay it off, my sister did. My brother did not- his ex past away of Cancer a few years ago and thousands of arrearage was poofed, dismissed I hear.

Something that I want to point out in regards to the judge’s role in a custody suit that may help in understanding the why and the how. It is not the judge’s job to go looking for evidence for or against one side or the other. If RC or CS made an allegation it is up to them or their attorney to provide the judge with the proper paperwork to back up those allegations. The judge bases his decision on what he is given, if it meets legal requirements for whatever document it is and how that fits within the current statue of the law.

Case in point. My brother-in-law was made aware, buy legal notice of the petition to the court, that the current custody rights of the mother of his child was being sought to be terminated. It was within his legal rights that he could also now attempt to gain custody himself. He was given a specific time frame to do that within as well as the manor in which he would have to file. He did not take the time to come to court, file the proper paperwork nor seek the help of an attorney. Instead he choose to send a hand written note on the back of a dinner placemat that say he was 'invoking his rights as her father for custody' with his signature. The court did not accept this note. It was not considered a legal document. He lost his rights for custody once again and he has been b!tching about for the last 4 years. He still can file in court to have the custody issue reopened but as usual he does not do what he needs to do.

Shadow, JS did file a paper with the court with many allegations. The case went on over a long period of time, most of the documents we don't have access to. The courts continued to affirm that the children should remain with Ron. See my post above where there is a very long time line of the case. I don't want to repost it because it is very long. Edited to add: and it is very telling.

I don't think people are necessarily worried about the back child support, I think it is more of a discussion going on surrounding the fact that a contempt hearing regarding child support was scheduled shortly before Haleigh went missing.

Would she be entitled to a refund if she didn't work?

Out here if you get behind you are more than likely to spend weekends in jail. They don't play around with these deadbeats

I noticed Leila had posted this in the Document section, I hadn't noticed it before. It looks like a timeline of the whole custody issue/hearings, etc. all the way till where we are now with the contempt order. Didn't know if it would help in your sleuthing.

Thank you very much Ceeker for bringing this, it does show a continuance of hearings.......just wish we had the actual minutes and testimony for each of them after the January Hearings......so far. they are not posted here.

In other words, I need them in order to determine what transpired between the parties from that point forward. I wonder if you have to pay for these documents????

In all honesty and fairness, without the whole picture. I dont want to cut this mom down.....I know, I know.....its not the most important thing. However, I am very passionate about Domestic Violence and an advocate for victims. I'm aware of the red flags warnings signs. I hope you can understand that aspect of why I am on this abuse allegation. :truce:
