block a forum?

is there any way to block an entire forum? I ask because I like to click on 'new posts' but at certain times of the day, most of what appears is game threads of which I have no interest in

I feel the same way. I would love to suppress the "game room" from my new posts search criteria. There are too many threads to wade through.
