Blue Angels crash

The plane supposedly blew up while in the air. I think they had a hard time finding him at first since he was off the radar.
His parents were present at the air show, it is so awful, i give my prayers for his family.

The plane did not blow up in the air. The crash location was immediately identified by the huge column of smoke and thousands of witnesses. Blue Angels leader in the #1 plane orbitted the crash scene until a rescue helicopter arrived overhead. Fire Rescue was on the scene within 5 minutes.

There is a video of the crash posted on youtube. Just search under the term "Blue Angel crash".

The F-18 Hornet - Blue Angel #6 - appears to be in the proper position as it begins turning to the left to rejoin the group of 5. It then appears to lose power and descend into the pine trees while remaining in the turn.

No cause has been identified at this point.
