I think he or "they" burned the car seats in the open based on the info you brought up.
There is also information re: seats in the Crown's opening statement I linked above. All that was left of the seats was the metal frame work. IMO I think they burnt the seats in the incinerator. If a human body could fit, so could seats. Much more convenient. Otherwise they would have had to make a bonfire on the farmland, which could have attracted passer-bys or neighbours' attention. I suspect the last thing they wanted to do was attract attention to the farmland. The fact that the metal frame work from the seats were found in the trailer with TB's truck and not found out on the farmland properties leads me to believe the seats were incinerated.
What some believed to be scorch marks in the field at the farmland, I suspect they were the ashes of TB and remnants of the truck seats, where the incinerator was emptied out by the perps. When the incinerator was examined by the forensic examiner, there were only bone fragments in the bottom. I suggest where the green tent was set up nearby, the day the incinerator was discovered, contains the incinerator. If you recall, in pictures/videos, it appears forensics were sifting. They are searching for bone fragments. The area amongst the trees where there appears to be a tarp covering something, I wonder if it's could be just a piece of machinery. JMO.
