It looks to me like he got it so that he can see it himself as a means of encouragement. Ambition and Discipline are words that maybe a grandfather would use to tell someone, to encourage them. JMO

Yes, they are for encouragement alright. Poor grandfather couldn't foresee for what, though.

The "ambition" was working out okay for DM, I guess. Unfortunately, he's a total failure on the "discipline" part, if we go by why LE arrested him.

Does the date someone is charged indicate when their part took place?
Asking because I genuinely don't know

Yes, so we know CN didn't get wrapped up in this until May 9, the Thursday, probably recruited to help DM cover his tracks.

By that time, surely MS and DM didn't want to be seen together, and DM had LE hot on his trail and loose ends all over.

One of those includes a close up of tattoos on DM's wrists. Word "ambition" on one. "Discipline" on the other. #Bosma

Now court sees photos of Dellen #Millard after his arrest. Ambition tattoo visible on left wrist. The word is small, all lower case

There is a line on #Millard's left wrist. Zoomed in it's a tattoo reading "ambition."
It is not encased in a rectangle as prev described tho

Black sharpie marker are great for drawing boxes around tattoos don'tcha know ;) I don't believe IT's description of the box is going to be a huge concern to the jurors. There is more damaging evidence already against DM. Don't forget, witness testimony IS evidence. :D HTH and MOO.

Totally agree. The place they chose allowed for tucking the Yukon in and there also appears to be a lot of trees and brush. Perhaps the traffic cam at the corner picked up the Yukon travelling South on Trinity around 9. Not like LE had to look thru hours of video- they had a good idea when they arrived. Also, early LE reports said they had video of the truck being followed closely by another vehicle. I seem to remember seeing a picture of the tail end of the truck and the front end of the other vehicle but it was really grainy- going to see if I can find it. The pic I remember was definitely being shot as if it was a traffic cam. MOO

Is this a traffic cam with actual running and recorded video surveillance, or a red light camera at this corner? This is two completely different things. I cannot see an actual traffic camera with recorded surveillance being here. A red light camera that snaps a photo if someone runs it? Yes. Especially if they have had a problem with accidents here that involve people running the red light.

What about when a person is charged years later for a crime? Like LB and WM death?

Time of the crime is needed for the charge, but it can be as vague as "on or about [date]"

The testimony today really hit home at how quickly this all went down. It also tells me that it was extremely thought out and premeditated and not just a spur of the moment thing. I have always subscribed to the thought that Tim was incapacitated from behind. Seems to me that this is the most plausible way to immobilize him quickly and then do what was planned. Very sad and must be incredibly difficult for SB to look out her windows and know what happened so close to home.

This is only my understanding of the camera's at Trinity and 53- that when they put the fairgrounds and stop lights there they installed the cameras. As far as I'm aware, they're actual CCTV's and not simply red light cameras. At least that's the belief of many locals. MOO

Really seems to be the DM show up to this point. And even though I get the fact that his defence is trying to create a reasonable doubt, I can't figure out why Sachak is bouncing on these innocent civilians who just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time rather than attacking any of the expert testimony. The whole "horsing around" thing was strange. People "horsing around in a field" with vehicles/dirtbikes/snowmobiles is something farmers have to often deal with- It's the action of ripping it on motorized vehicles in the wide open spaces- it's not even in the same category as people in a car "horsing around" MOO

Lawyers rarely question experts from what I understand. They will ask questions of them and if their answers contradict they will question that, but I believe experts are presumed as such until they answer something obscurely. JMO.

So far the civilian testimonies have appeared to be slightly influenced by media coverage, as their original statements have been a little different from on the stand testimony. JMO. So I think the defense is covering all bases.

Yes, they could have used the excuse of needing to relieve themselves, and pull over into the lane, or maybe it was just MS, who did not want to be inside the cab when shots were fired, so as soon as he got out, DM shot Tim. When they pulled in that lane, I wonder too if Tim might have seen the Yukon parked there, so DM would shoot him very quickly before he could even ask what that truck might be doing there. The dogwalker only saw the truck and Yukon driving out. They could have been sitting there for a few moments, and maybe he did not hear a shot because he was in his house, or out of the range for hearing it. Le seems sure Tim was shot very soon after leaving his home. Did they find shattered window glass from the front passenger window of his truck in the grass near the tire tracks ? If so, this is where he was shot. One can only hope it happened so fast Tim did not see it coming, or that he had already been knocked out by MS.

OR, if it was the Yukon maybe DM got out an drove his own vehicle which would make sense to me. Also if someone was in the other vehicle they may have got into truck. This may well have been after a short test drive had occurred. MOO

Tealgrove, it is so very sad to think that DM and MS travelled all of that distance to commit such a horrific crime and heartache for a beautiful family- all for a truck. For a blooming stupid truck. Hats off to the incredible work of the HPS, WPS, HPS, all the neighbours, the cell phone expert who answered his phone at 2 am- everyone who hit the ground running. They closed in on DM so fast that he had absolutely no place to run. Not even time to get the truck painted. And then I cringe when I think of little Miss CN- waltzing around her campus sipping on her drink- with no idea that LE was right on her heals, a clear indication of DM's inner circle who were willing to keep their mouths zipped. Kudos to the investigators on this case. Justice will be served. MOO

Wow- arms crossed- looking tired and not too happy. Bad day for a genuine guy who's a humble, generous, philosophical type. MOO

does DM's Lawyer have the right to call Smitch to the stand and vice versa?

Of course DM may have gotten out and driven the Yukon, but considering that it would appear that DM wanted the truck, I can't imagine him letting MS- who didn't even have a drivers license #1) drive a truck that size #2) take the lead (testimony that Yukon was following TB's truck) MOO

His eyes look cold and dead. There's nothing there.

I didn't know MS didn't have a license. Link?

Is there any chance they would have taken the plates off the red Ram beforehand and put them on TB's in that field in order to drive TB's Ram to the hangar without initiating a cop stop?

Likewise, would it make more sense for MS to drive the Yukon if he indeed had no license, as the Yukon would perhaps be less likely to be pulled over since it's registered to a licensed and insured driver?
