so did the jury see the video? They seem to have moved on from this?

  • #64
seems the defence is grasping at straws, whatever little inconsistencies they can find...
We all know it's grasping at straws because we have followed this case from the get go, but my hope is that it is as clear to the jury. Keep in mind these are general folks that have no details like we do on the case, or else they would not have been selected to be on the jury.

No they haven't seen the video and I would think that should be next. And judging by the fact that we're back into legal arguments...perhaps RP is taking one last effort at getting that video thrown out?

I'm wondering this too. So what of the video? Pillay did a lot of meaningless "foot-work" to discredit the witnesses but at the end of the day how does even having this video help the Crown? So far, it hasn't amounted to much.

absolutely

But when the letters were written was she on the no contact list? Or did she only get on the no contact list once she was charged in April 2014?

She was on the no contact list from about the second day DM was in custody IIRC. She was definitely on it when she received the letters.

Seems to me a lot of us would have devices that are 3 hours out if we accepted the default left coast time that many are set up with.

I think that's why no one checked to see the precise time difference...perhaps there was an assumption that the time was off because of time zone and no one checked to get the difference in minutes and seconds.

That's my take. Does it matter? Depends on whether LE try to put together a really detailed timeline or not...I don't think it is critical to have these guys whereabouts pinned down to the second but...?

Okay still no video. Perhaps the Crown strategy is to lay out all the groundwork for the direct evidence and then present it all at once with the respective experts that dealt with it? For example, all video will be presented by the forensic technician who examined it, all blood by a forensic expert etc.? Show it closer to the end of their case for memory impact?

It has been way more than 20 minutes. Is this lunch break instead?

You have to admit when things start moving they move fast.
I think I need a little break too.....making a mental note regarding lawyer Pilay now on my no call list for anything legal :D

Millardair had an I.T. guy???

Well if they did, why was SS using his own cell # and email for company business? ;)

Interesting that they had a dedicated NAPA Sales Rep calling on them for their auto needs on a regular basis. SS is getting to be quite a popular name!!! Think'n that he's gonna need a pretty big shovel
