Williams testimony around the Baja trip conversation seems so strange. There she is doing books for a company that has absolutely NO money coming in and the owner is concerned about the money he's going to need to go to a race? She was the bookkeeper! lmao Her job would be to make entries into the GL based on the needs of the company after the owner had already spent it, so IMO, the only way that she would be involved in a conversation with DM, was if DM was trying to figure out how he was going to finance the trip. Where could they get the money from. AFAIK, she was not the financial advisor. MOO

He was probably inquiring about the figures from the last trip to plan this one. This bookkeeper was entering information into a quickbooks program which he probably had no idea how to use. So he probably needed her to get past info for him. I'm sure the fuel figure got him to thinking about ways to lower that number.

I'm sure that's exactly what WM had envisioned when he was putting everything he owned into the Waterloo venture. MOO

Poor WM :( He tried to make a secure future for his son and this is the thanks he gets. :stormingmad: RIP WM. Justice is coming.

Something not right about this payroll arrangement after WM passed away. No legal business going on at the hangar, but money going out to people who weren't even legitimately "earning" it? For heaven sakes, why do I get the feeling there are more people involved in wanting WM gone? Can of worms has been opened, I think so...
ALL MOO.

The only people being paid by MIllardAir after Dellen Millard took over were Millard, his mother, and Shane Schlatman.

found this
Update Oct. 22: Dellen Millard’s Riverside Drive property is no longer on the market and the Royal Bank has registered a $3.8 million charge against it, according to property records.

so I guess it went towards the loan..wonder if all the other properties that sold did as well.

After Dellen Millard took over the company, the workforce changed, Williams says. "The employees were let go. Except there was one that remained on." That was Shane Schlatman.

Her job was keeping track of expenses.
by Adam Carter 2:39 PM

There was a lone for the company taken out in Oct. 2012, to buy equipment needed to keep the business going. It was for approximately $3.7M, Williams says.
by Adam Carter 2:40 PM (I assume he means 'loan')

Life insurance on the loan?

Does anyone know what race DM would have been considering? (e.g. Baja 500, Baja 1000, etc.) Or what class? Just wondering what potential prize money would be vs race registration. TIA

It's interesting to have a payroll with no income to cover it!
Perhaps sucking the line of credit and WM's bank account dry until the Bank woke up. MOO

so perhaps all the speculation that DM was selling off his properties to protect all his money..maybe the Bank was pressuring to have the loan paid so that is why he transferred all the properties to his mother to liquidate. I see that one property was listed at 4.1M

That property was listed above 4 million so they might have just taken that one. If they couldn't recoup the loan, they might have put a charge against the farm.....it wasn't going anywhere for a while.

IMO, IF he had prior knowledge of a planned theft of the truck, that would not constitute his involvement in a murder.

It may constitute an accessory charge but then again LE said they don't usually arrest co-operating witnesses. ;)

But there is no way he didn't know that the truck belonged to a missing man and had blood in it and he did nothing about it other than to help disguise it. There had to have been some kind of deal for his testimony?

I think he was trying to transfer them to mama B to get the properties liquidated before the bank caught on and wanted their money back. He likely wanted to protect his assets, avoid his loans and having something to pay a lawyer. JMO

Maybe she received a percentage of the company as part of the divorce settlement when assets were divided, and another part of the settlement was that she would receive a certain minimum amount each year. IMO
WM and MB had divorced over a decade prior. CM was still alive. IMHO, from the moment CM died, so did the Millardair of old. WM was building a new Millardair with his own money and as we had suspected, but just got confirmation today, 3.7 worth of the Banks money. AFAIK, MB did not have anything to do with Millardair until WM died. If there are any links out there indicating she did, I'd love to see them :) All I know is that she was with DM at WM's house the night WM was found dead. MOO

Score racing Baja 500 May 30th - June 2nd, 2013.

And he would likely never be a contender for prize money but I think he just really enjoyed the rush of racing and the whole race experience.

I suspect Abro's gonna come back tonight and yell at us again for being curious about "deals", but the SS situation just gets more and more inscrutable. And infuriating.

When I heard from friends that this case was really messed up I had no idea it was to this extent and this is only a few weeks in.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing! But I can't wrap my mind around how there wouldn't be ANY charges against SS unless there was some kind of deal.
