I am surprised DM 's lawyer is so intent on showing us all what a prck Millard was in business with someone whom he could take advantage of. Saw a lot of these "deals" done in Mexico----it is always worked for the guy with the money and the little schmuck got screwed and half the time did not even know it.

I'm assuming he's trying to rack up some brownie points for DM.

But failing in my eyes.

This outstanding citizen :facepalm:, helped a man go home to see family, sent him on trips to retrieve stuff for him. Allowed him to pay him for a piece of garbage apartment, pay for the use of vehicles where he could have just gone the route most people do and buy/lease a better vehicle for much much less from a reputable source. Gave him the assurance of a thriving business, didn't pay him on time (and what would that matter when it seems like 95% of that pay would be going right back to DM)... etc, etc.

Before then, he wasn't on the payroll. Sachak says there was a discussion where Millard said he'd put him on the payroll so his taxes and CPP would be addressed.

So sometimes DM paid JV with cheques through MillardAir that were being put on the books under JV's SIN and other times he was paid cash. There was confusion about submitting receipts and he never received a T4. So because of this odd business arrangement, DM had to bail him out regarding taxes on the claims that DM was putting through MillardAir, as a contractor likely.

In 2012 he was finally put on the payroll after 4 years of this other "arrangement". Did he receive a T4 for 2012? I know he said he received one for 2013. Just a mess.
