And we're back.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 4m4 minutes ago
Again looking at so-called "two finger image" holding gun. Pillay is suggesting if you look very carefully you can see WA...I can't see it.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 3m3 minutes ago
Plath says she can't see it either.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Pillay wondering if it is visible on some monitors but not others. Many different screens in the courtroom.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 31s31 seconds ago
Plath leaves witness box to look at a screen in front of jurors...Can see portion of face of person holding the gun in photo.

I cannot see that MS would have the money to fund his own defense.....and if it is through legal aid to which he is likely entitled....it is then funded at the pleasure of we the taxpayers.

He might not but his family could. His sister is pretty well known in the media world IIRC

Pillay asking if she can see the "WA" from the Walther symbol near the first fingertip. She says possibly, but it's tough to see.
by Adam Carter 4:24 PM

That's it for Pillay. Dungey will cross-examine tomorrow.
by Adam Carter 4:28 PM

We're done for the day.

Pillay asks Plath if gun in this latest photo is same as gun in the photo that shows a partial view of face. She cannot say. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
She cannot say the guns in each photo are the same gun. Pillay done. Jury done for the day. #Bosma

"And you find out from Art Jennings about the VIN number ... and that it matches up to the Bosma truck," Dungey says.
by Adam Carter 11:40 AM

"It's the same game you played with all the vehicles -- you're just blind to it," Dungey says. Schlatman says no.
by Adam Carter 11:42 AM

"At that time sir, common sense probably wasn't a strong point for me .. it was a blur." Schlatman says. "What about Mr. Bosma, was that a blur?" Dungey says.
by Adam Carter 11:43 AM

"Maybe I didn't do everything the way I should have." Schlatman says. "Mr Schlatman, you didn't do anything," Dungey shoots back.
by Adam Carter 11:44 AM

Now taking a 20 minute recess.
by Adam Carter 11:45 AM

Just starting to read todays tweets.

Woooohoooooo go get him TD.....I love this lawyer and SS is making my blood boil, how selfish and greedy is he. His pathetic wage from DM was more important than another mans life!!!

I like how RP uses a pic of MS holding the gun.

:cheer:That's 2 great laughs....nice catch.....thanks Pillay's just a fount of funny.

Yes. They were in the prisoner box during jury selection but were moved to be with their lawyers on the first day of the trial.

Well not exactly, they were moved to be with each other at one table with two monitors. They are not "with" their lawyers and therefore they cannot discuss anything with their lawyers during open court unless their lawyers ask for a moment to speak with them.

Thanks for that billandrew. It was always hard to tell that both pics were of the same gun because the older Ipads had such poor picture resolution. The picture of the gun MS was holding almost didn't look like the same gun as the one DM was holding because of this. That picture you highlighted shows the differences between the black and the blue steel areas of the gun.

Lovely moment down the hall just now; Tim's father Hank #Bosma's birthday is today. Family is sharing cupcakes. Media sang HBD.

Awww Happy Birthday Mr Bosma!!! Not the nicest places to spend a birthday, but I'm glad TD is making some good headway today, another day closer to justice!!!!

Dungey is controlling the pace and momentum of the proceedings on the defense side now, IMO. Tomorrow morning should be another interesting cross.

TD is doing a great job of exposing the dictatorship, and the other face of DM. Most of us are cheering him on as his strategy to defend MS requires him to show DM as the 'ring leader' who assigns hierarchical status by loyalty. He has also shown us how that loyalty takes advantage of personalities like SS. I bet I know where this is going.

The crown seems to be unconcerned with exposing SS like TD did. I believe this is because they can afford to at this time with remaining star lineup. Both defense teams will need to show their client as the unlikely trigger puller, because the cage door is closing.

Also, it could just be the poor resolution, but in the MS gun photo there is no visible writing along the barrel. It should say 380 ACP right above that little circular part where the handle meets the barrel.

Edit for clarification: I cannot see the "380 ACP" writing in the MS photo, but it is clearly visible in DM's photo. Either poor quality pic, or different gun.

Picture1.jpgPicture1.png

Refer to this pic as an example of how the writing can be placed in a different location on the barrel:

Well, SS can now go home and contemplate the mistakes he's made in his life. He's a free man today and for that he should be grateful. Maybe he'll take a look at Dell sitting there, with nothing but a jail cell to look forward to and get a much better understanding of the role that money played in this whole thing. If SS had not been blinded by DM's money and everything it could provide, he may have actually supported AJ and gone to LE on Thursday night. We know now that it wouldn't have changed anything, but what if that wasn't the case? What if TB was being kept hostage in the trailer or something? Would SS have been ok with that as long as he didn't look in the trailer?

I'd suggest that he accepts the fact that he was very wrong about DM and call AJ and try to make amends. Maybe he'll take up reading the news and discover that it wasn't AJ's phone call to CS that brought the heat on DM. They were already closing in on DM. Not only that, they also followed him and DM when they were dropping off the red truck. I think TD was right when he suggested SS lived in a vacuum. Dell's "Stepford Friends" all living in Dell-land?

ok in all fairness what is TD's explanation going to be for his own client not going to the police? or MM?

I have no idea what TD's defense will be for MS, but I think he'll likely try to assert that MS was under threat of death, IMO. Since MS was there, IMO, and saw or even participated in TB's incineration, I think TD might argue that MS was terrified of DM and feared that DM would dispose of him in the same manner if he didn't cooperate and if he ever told the truth about it, IMO.

I'm just speculating as to what possible defense that could help MS and that's the only thing I can come up with. Of course, MS is also charged in the death of LB and since LE say she too was incinerated, it's hard to explain how or why MS would continue any association with DM after that horror that preceded TB's murder, but LB won't be brought up in this trial anyway. So, IMO, TD will either try to assert that MS was not on the TB test drive (unlikely) - OR - (lol) TD will say he was involved but only under duress. IF MS had a drug habit and DM was supplying him with drugs, TD could also argue that type of dependence on DM and a reason MS didn't go to LE with what he knew at the time of TB's murder. If TD were to say any or all of those things in defending MS, it would be somewhat more understandable a defense, IMO, than what we heard from SS today who - unless SS actually knows far more about the murder(s) - had little to no good reason to fear DM and therefore has no excuse for why he did not call LE, IMO.

But truly, I'm just waiting to see what TD has to say in his client's defense. It's only speculation on my part, as more likely, as per the Crown, there is damning evidence to convict MS and I believe it will be coming sooner rather than later, IMO. Until then, I wait....

Schlatman says his brain was in a blur that day. Says I think so. Dungey says what do you mean you think so. Schlatman says ok I know #Bosma

"I cannot recall all the emotions of that day," Says Schlatman. "My memory's in a blur."

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 1m1 minute ago
SS saying over and over he doesn't know. He doesn't remember chat he had w DM after cops left hangar. @AM900CHML #TimBosma

Dungey: You know the VIN is a match. The interior is gone. He wants to change the colour of it. The windshield removed. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Insists he didn't know for certain it was #Bosma truck, even though Jennings learned from Crimestoppers the VIN matched.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
"My brain is in a blur," Schlatman says. Can't recall conversations (unless asked specific questions about topics) #Bosma

Poor SS, he has too many things to remember.....one being the truth and the other being the version of the story that CN told to him via DM all while TD is yelling at him. I hope he explodes soon!!!! JMO The truth is easy to remember on its own, throw in some tall tales and your mind becomes a blur when trying to recall your story!
