CA has waived the bench warrant child pornography charges.

So that means that Colorado is free to take him pending an extradition hearing, correct? I mean, he can decide whether or not to waive his extradition rights now at the hearing.

I wonder if this means that CA has been privy to what CO has on the guy, and it's strong enough that CA waived the child porn charges...

English, I'm not sure about extradition. He is being held in CA on the warrant from CO so maybe there will be no extradtion?? I have no clue.

CA Sonoma County officials announced Friday/Saturday that they would defer to the CO charges, and put the CA charges on hold.

CTV says he will be transported to Colorado probably later today then the clock starts ticking. Once he is in Colorado the state has 48 hours to formally charge him.

Howdy Buzz..Only know that they have changed his inmate info at TTCF. They have removed the case link that was at the bottom of the page and replaced it with HOLD for CO.

The last reports I have heard are still unclear when the and if there is an extradition hearing scheduled. Some say he cannot go to CO wothout having one and some say it is not a big deal. The question is how long will he be here. CO expects him withina few days. he is being held in a secure location of the jail and is not in with the GP.

Depending on how this plays out, it's interesting to know that Colorado does have the death penalty. However, they've only executed one guy since 1976 and have just 2 others on Death Row.

As far as his exwife coming up with proof that MJK was there at Christmas in 1996, a tough task, imop.

Seems to me that LE has to find proof that MJK WAS in Boulder er that LE already has proof of a different magnitude.

How would YOU or anyone prove they were HOME at ANY Christmas ??, except family saying so, hmmm.

.
Yes but the family has not officially said it. the ex wife and the brother both were sure at first, but have since backpedaled. As a matter of fact, I read in a post that he was traveling to the brothers house without her. Don't quote me on that.

Point is, the atty for the ex wife, said that she thinks he was there, but she is trying to determine if that is or isn't true. She has been silent since then. Could be because she is lawyered up and her attny told her to keep quiet, or because she can't substantiate it. We just don't know yet.

BANGKOK, Thailand Aug 21, 2006 (AP)— A suspect in the killing of JonBenet Ramsey visited a clinic to have facial hair removed permanently because he wanted a sex-change operation, a doctor said Monday.

John Mark Karr had his sideburns and hair under his chin removed with lasers at the Siam Swan Cosmetic Clinic and its branches in downtown Bangkok during four sessions from March to July, said Dr. Setthakarn Attakonpan.

"He wanted to prepare himself to do a sex-change operation," said Setthakarn, a dermatologist.

Karr emerged as a suspect in the case after telling reporters in Thailand that he was with 6-year-old JonBenet when she died in the basement of her home on Dec. 26, 1996, but that her death was an accident.

U.S. officials have been silent about what Karr told them during interrogations.

Upon Karr's arrival at LAX, however, the luxury treatment ended. The LAPD served the 41-year-old former schoolteacher with the murder warrant from Boulder, Colo., and placed him under arrest, Oscar Butao, deputy sheriff for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, tells PEOPLE.

What happens next depends on whether he waives extradition," says Butao. "If he does waive it, he'll be in Boulder in a few days, and if he fights it, the case could take weeks to extradite him to Boulder."
