Thai Airlines (which is the carrier he was on) does not fly to Denver.
It flies to Los Angeles and New York.

Wow,

First, you guys turn on the suspect

Next, you guys turn on the DA

Now, you turn on the extradition processes. I am sure that the powers that be know how to extradict him properly and I am sure that the State of CA has their ducks in a row with CO so that whatever happens, he is sent back.

Comeon folks, you act like everyone in the world is an amateur except you guys.

Have some faith.

And just now on MSNBC Chris, the hostess stated that Karr went into the Ramsey home when they were having a Christmas party, which she said in essence makes this a bogus report because their Christmas party was 3 days before that!

How irresponsible for her to not make sure that fact is correct. It was an open house, not a Christmas party as stated by Karr to this lady from Ca. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I heard that too. I also heard reported this morning on Fox or CNN (I flip too much) that Karr said he broke into the house and lay in wait under a bed in a guest bedroom and that he heard Patsy read Jon Benet a bed time story. I thought it was reported that Jon Benet fell asleep on the car ride home from the White's house and John Ramsey carried her upstair to bed? Am I wrong about this?

I'm saying there are a lot of direct flights to Denver. I half expect they will ferret JMK onto a flight in first class, and pull the curtains, while they board the rest of the passengers, and JMK will be in CO before we know it.

So, is it wrong to understand it? Irepsect your opinion, but please don't decide what is ok and not ok for me to ask.Not turning on the process..Stan Goldman mentioned something I was trying to understand. he said CO had every right to come and pick him up and I am wondering how that works.

It also has to do with International flights and with Customs facilities. Does Denver have a Customs facility? I doubt it. No matter what, he had to go through Customs.

Well, JBean, I wasn't necessarily talking about you.

It is just humourous that people on this board (from all walks of life) have declared--in the last few days--that the DNA is too degraded, the suspect was in Alabama, the extradition process isn't being done correctly. I mean, no wonder it is taking so long to get this guy back, charged, and the information out. All the experts in the crime labs, courts, DA's office, police offices, etc. are here posting.

I need a time out! :D But nothing personal against you bean.

I never heard of a suspect being arrested in one state to answer charges in another state without some sort of formal extradition hearing, even if it is only to formally waive extradition.
This does not mean that it has not happened, just means I have never heard of it.
I also think that DA Mary Lacy is wanting all formalities to be followed regarding this person at least from the standpoint to get him there. Imagine something being done wrong and then causing an issue that prohibits CO from following through with their charges/investigation.
As far as I'm aware, one State CAN arrest a suspect on behalf of another State. They also have to go thru extradition proceedings in which the suspect can fight (for whatever their sick reasoning may be.) the transfer. Something to do with their rights... Most courts grant extradition so it's usually not an issue.

Ah, yes but there were other posts not only about the extradition process but about the charges in CA being dismissed and blah blah blah.

Definitely not singling you out....your post wasn't one I was referring to. More about the general feeling that "I believe this is the way that this works so if it isn't met, something is WRONG".

Isnt Denver an International Airport? Im pretty sure it is.

Calus if everyone simply choses to blindly follow what the media is saying or except with out any evidence presented that this guy is guilty with out question or speculation, then I guess my question is should we just shut down WS and convert it into a knitting forum?

Well, come to think of it, we do spin a lot of yarns here.

okay i have it.

STan Goldman said that Karr was under the arrest of CO and that agent could have taken him straight to CO. but instead he left, saying he had to leave for a family emergency. That left the extradition process in CA.
The implication is that they just are trying to buy more time, because the clock doesn't start ticking for CO, until he is there. By leaving him here for a few days, they have more time in CO. but the upshot is he didn't have to come into CA custody at all.

We should possibly hear the reults of the DNA testing very soon. I wonder if his Aug. 17th swab is being analyzed in Thailand, or was the sample sent back to the U.S.??
